Beterbiev has yet to fight an opponent that wasn't a can. While Barrera has experienced top level opposition. I have nothing to go on regarding Beterbiev, because you can't tell anything from beating cans. I look forward to seeing how this fight plays out.

 

IM going to wait til an official announcement is made before I come out and say that the only way to beat Beterbiev is to put him on the backfoot, which means his opponent will have to come forward.
A daunting task for MOST LHWs and even CWs against someone with Arturs power.
Barerra aint that type fighter, so this fight aint that special to me.

Id rather see him fight Gvodzyk, or even Fonfara. Hell, Joe Smith Jr or Cleverly would give him a better fight.

Have you actually seen Beterbiev's competition? He made them look like cans, but that's a whole other issue. There's a very good chance Barrera isn't even his best opponent to date.

 

Beterbiev is unproven at the pro ranks. Let's not call him a tank until he plows through Barrera

 

How is he unproven?

 

Him being a former IBF titlist, has no bearing on his state as a boxer a year and a half after being schooled by Hopkins, and a year after taking a beating from Stevenson, and that is outside of the fact that he should have never had a title in the first place, as Campillo was absolutely robbed in their fight. Cloud was inactive and on the shelf for a year, after the Stevenson beat down. He came back to get one last pay check against Beterbiev.

Don't embarrass yourself man. I've seen most of Beterbiev's fights, and if he fights Barrera next, Barrera will be his best opponent to date, by far.

Beterbiev made his opponents look like cans, because they were cans a the time he fought them, plain and simple.
