    But you also said this:

The implication seemed clear. But I'll take you at your word and accept that in no way were you implying a duck and don't believe he's ducking. And on that we agree...

Thanks, that all I asked. I don't know what he is gonna do but I hope that he chooses to defend at 147.

    Two points:
    1. You don't understand boxing, Canelo knew Khan would start fast but eventually make the kind of schoolboy error he always does. It's just a matter of biding your time with Khan and waiting for him to expose his marshmallow jaw. The best way to this is just let him do his thing for a few rounds and slowly close the range. But Khan's ring IQ is so low, he walks right into this trap every time he steps up in class. You do understand that winning a few rounds before being rendered unconscious and French kissing an oxygen mask isn't a great way of winning fights? I mean, you do realise this, right?

    2. You plead for objectivity and then proclaim you have the definitive answer with five exclamation marks which actually accentuate your total lack of objectivity, the very thing you demand of everyone else.

Addendum: You're not the brightest are you?

It's laughable that having a good first 3 rounds becomes victory. In this period when Canelo was supposed to of being getting his head boxed off at no point was Canelo hurt, Khan landed no power shots and at the end of each round Canelo was cool as like you said he knew it was a matter of time.

Khan had a decent 3 rounds but as usual nothing new threw actually mattered.

It's why I find it a joke when Khan claimed Brook should of boxed more v GGG like he did v Canelo.

Brook actually thew and landed power shots on GGG. Not some pitta patta punches that do nothing.

And it's generally accepted GG is a better middleweight than Canelo. Also, Brook has only that loss, so we can't generalise from it, whereas Khan made exactly the same errors against Canelo that he did against Garcia. He's not evolved as a fighter...

    It's a tough choice tbh.

He probably shouldn't be staying at 147 but the fights there are huge for him.

Spence, Khan, Pac, Garcia, Thurman. It's quite a hot division.

I did say that and I meant that. I think that he is avoiding the Spence fight for whatever reasons. If he's putting Spence on the back burner because of money, then cool, I can understand it because money talks. However now, the Khan fight is off the table and Thurman and Garcia are occupied. There is no one between Spence and Brook and the question is still the same. Now, if he vacates the title then yeah, I'm calling it a duck. I am not saying that Brook is soft or scared, in fact for me the Spence fight is a 50/50 proposition. Yet if it looks like duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then nine out of ten times it's probably a duck.

I cant agree but see the thread of your thinking. But it seems to me beating Bundu and Algieri is a fairly tame case for being seen as the man to avoid or to demand a world title shot. It's not a duck to say 'come back to me when you've earned the right'. And like I say, WW is a stretch for Brook now. Why should he risk fighting weight-drained against a guy who had barely earned the right to have a shot at his title and all for a purse which would be a fraction of that he would earn fighting Khan? Spence needs to earn his spot at the top table and not expect it handed to him on a plate...

I'm a big fan of Spence however if I'm being honest as long as Brook's face heals properly I see him defeating & possibly stopping Spence.

Well I tend to agree, but you can make a case for either winning, I rate Spence via the eye test. But I get kinda tired of reading on here about this fighter 'ducking' that fighter etc. People seem to forget boxing is a business first, and a sport second, and fighting is how people like Brook earn their living. He's got to make the right call for his career, and boiling down to WW to take on Spence - which is a risk - for relatively small reward this late in his career does not make sense, and choosing another route does not mean he's ducking.

Doesn't being Brook's mandatory in fact mean he has earned it?
