What's wrong with 70/30 split to the winner?

 

Khan is in the drivers seat , sure we say it should be 50-50 , But facts are no big names are scared of Khan , and he still is a big enough name for the big names to want to fight him , after all most will KO him .. Brook however wants Khan so he can avoid Spence and it will cost him , he has 3 choices move up in weight and show the world he's avoiding Spence ,,,Fight Spence , or fight the easiest fight in Khan , which will still bring him some serious money even at say 60-40 and Khan knows this ,, Its the only way Brook retains the belt for now

 

This myth that Brook is running scared of Errol Spence really needs to stop.

 

In theory, nothing. But when has a 'winner takes the larger purse' fight ever happened? It's been proposed and discussed umpteen times across dozens of fights but it's never actually happened... Too much risk/shadiness in boxing for such a scheme to ever materialize, in my opinion.

Khan would be better going for his karadashin style programme tbh. Hes gonna get seriously brain damaged in the end. Just watched a 5 minute clip of him and his wife on this morning. Had to watch through my finger tips.

Seemingly a lot of his team left him after the canelo fight. Or his wife said he fired half them anyway. Khans using his sex tape as extra motivation to prove the doubters wrong in a boxing ring. Plus he does charity work apparently.

Honestly more suited to the karadashins than boxing. I still say khan gives brook problems. But hes even more deluded than ever. With no real team behind him. Family dont really seem to have his best interests at heart either. Still probably thinks he can beat mayweather. They ll end up using him as a punching bag for guys like spence and other up and coming fighters eventually. The problem with khan is hes too stupid to realise his level or he cant accept his level. He ll still be going round at 35 saying i ll prove my doubters wrong. Even though hes already had 3 or 4 heavy defeats.

He should be thinking about brook as a retirement fight. Win. Lose. Or draw. Hes never had the intellegence in a boxing ring to be anything but a danger to himself at the top level. Without his freakish athletism hes about british level luckily hes had the best coaching around thats helped him to an extent. But at 30 its all downhill from there athletically i d imagine. With being that deluded with very few looking out for him its a recipe for disaster.

Should take the brook fight. Get the pay day and get out the sport win lose or draw before its too late imo if its not already too late that is. I dont remember cringing as much watching any other fighter being interviewed. At least when its someone like james toney they know their a bit stupid themselves.

he honestly thinks he can demand things like floyd mayweather. Floyd did play khan up which was pretty poor but for khan to think he has the stature to do this is terrible.

70/30 is a truly disgusting duck. This fight is a massive fight in the UK but it takes two fighters to create a massive fight so 70/30 is a despicable demand. Especially when you consider he has never won a belt at welterweight and has just been brutally KO'd for the third time in his career.

I always suspected this was the real Amir Khan, I'm pleased the rest of the boxing world can see it now. This man has been a pampered fraud from day one. Apart from one very good win v Maidana, he's been pampered and carefully matvhed, getting beaten or brutally KO'd when taking genuine challenges.

He shamelessly lies to the fans and shares his delusions as though he can fool us. Absolute dirtbird.

 

Khan is the biggest joke in boxing. He'll fight Vargas next.

 

Forget never winning a belt at WW. His never beaten anyone at WW yet he thinks he can get 70% vs the champion. The guy is clearly losing the plot.

For me the reality is he makes this demands knowing Brook won't accept as he doesn't want the fight.

 

Whilst some of what you say is true, to suggest that Brook is ducking Spence isn't quite fact.

Khan presents virtually no threat to Brook. Khan would win the first few rounds and then Brook would time him and walk him onto the right hand.

Spence is a very different proposition. He may be a far bigger threat, but Brook beats him handily imo.

What we are talking about here is risk vs reward. Khan presents no threat but massive reward, Spence is a threat, but pays peanuts.

At the end of the day this is all about mathematics.

 

Thats my only problem. Brook v spence doesnt exactly pay peanuts. Excluding the golovkin fight it ll be brooks biggest payday to date.

Lets not kid ourselves on here. He,s due to receive 75 percent of the purse. Then probably a couple of million if not more from ppv sponserships etc.

We understand why he prefers the khan fight but lets not make out hes fighting spence for free.

 

would a fight vs spence be on PPV?

not sure if would you know. brook would earn more if al haymon decided to blow hearn out of the water and win the purse bid. its gonna cost him a lot of $$$ if he doesnt want to send spence to the UK.

with the problems PBC is having I cant see that happening.

 

Khan It's clear is ducking asking for 70/30 is a clear attempt to not make the fight and then tell everyone brook is scared etc et.
