Khan has misjudged this badly. I think he believes his such the bigger fighter in the UK that him demanding 70% wouldn't be seen as a duck. His twitter gets overloaded with people telling him what a punk he is. His delusional. Please Eddie Hearn and Kell Brook just end all talks and move on.
i agree khan thinks he is bigge than he is, but at the same time, kell/hearn need khan more than khan needs brook. if brook doesnt fight khan, and ends up fighting another bum like bizier/dan or along them lines, he may as well hang them, as he will of lost all credibility.
Why does brook need Khan? Brook can defend vs Spence or move up a division. Khan will end up fighting Vargas of someone like Berto.
I was with you on that back in '04, and in 2008 was gutted when Prescott decked him. I celebrated his win over Kotelnik and even bought into the 'shady man talking to the judges' theory of the Peterson fight. Not sure when I stepped off the Khan fan train, but all I know is he's basically been semi-retired for three years and still talks like he's the main man when in fact, Garcia, Thurman, Brook, Porter and Spence have usurped him. I don't like that he fires coaches when he loses - he's not alone in that but done it more than most - and the way he treated Oliver Harrison was a disgrace looking back. I think I just don't like him and he's not done enough with his talent to help me see past that.
kell is brooking spence - havnt you heard the news? he doesnt want the fight. this goes down to the old chestnut of resumes. i personally can see brook fighting a nobody again like bizier or dan.
I do remember people were not noticing the very consistent body work from Peterson. I think there was always a faction of Khan haters from his inception but their voice became greater and joined more numbers as Khan would speak more and be so insufferable. I didn't really know the story behind Harrison. He just hasn't made the necessary adjustments in the pro game..the biggest problem is that he can't channel his ADHD properly in the ring, he sees his name written in the stars and like a little lamb lunges in and gets knocked sparked out.
As I understand it, Khan sacked Harrison for not being high profile enough for him and not being strong enough defensively (I guess that's okay and his call), although he didn't do that face-to-face but through a third party, then publicly attacked Harrison when he helped Gomez with strength and conditioning before his fight with Khan - calling him disloyal - before replacing him with Rubio for the Prescott fight. That went well...
