You say he was overrated and that you feel Vitali was better but considering how high you have Vitali on the ATG list, that still makes Lewis a pretty special fighter and leagues above Wilder. As even if you think Vitali got jobbed - I don't - you still have to give a 37 year old, out of shape - although that's his own fault - Lewis credit for hanging in there with prime Klitschko, giving him a hard time, inflicting a large amount of damage and being a one round swing away from drawing at the halfway point at which is was stopped. To my mind that's the minimum he should be awarded from the Vitali fight.
I wasn't talking about that fight directly. I'm saying that the worst Lewis, regardless of your feelings on TKO6 or RET37 or whatever you call it was still a considerably more formidable fighter than Deontay Wilder.
Guys like Szpilka barely touched Wilder. Wasn't one mark on his face after that fight. Not that many significant punches landed either. Also a totally different type of fighter. Morrison doesn't move around anywhere near like that. Nor is he a south paw. End result would be the same but the fight would go differently.
He had some success to deny that is to make yourself look silly. You're right he isn't a south paw though, perhaps the equally limited Duhaupas orthodox successes in the ring might make you think that Morrison as a much heavier puncher might trouble Wilder.
Szpilka if he was having success would've stuck with his gameplan, maybe survive 12 and then pretend to be robbed on US soil. It's a good thing he's a fighter that wanted to actually win. I doubt Morrison can fight that negative, they are nothing alike. Duhaupas isn't a puncher, Wilder wasn't concerned with his power at all so that's another bad comparison.
You act as if it's a forgone conclusion. Why is Wilder getting touched by Molina, dropping rounds to Szpilka. These are smaller guys, who aren't durable or very skilled and close in size to Morrison. Morrison had an elite left hook, if that clipped Wilders chin it would be over. Wilder moves back in straight lines, drops his hands, is physically clumsy and doesn't have the greatest punching technique(which is why he's suffered repeated injuries) Molina didn't have the skill to capitalize on that opportunity. Morrison is faster, has better hand speed, punching variety and a bigger puncher than any of these guys. Wilder isn't an elite once in a generation kind of super heavyweight like Lewis or the Klitschkos. He's gotten better at fighting tall, but he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as them. Morrison went 5 1/2 rounds with a prime Lewis, who I think we would could both agree is 10x the fighter Wilder. Morrison unless he gets blown out early would have plenty of opportunities to land his signature punch. Molina went almost 9 rounds with Wilder despite not having the greatest chin, had been KO'd in 1 twice in his career prior... Wilder hasn't blown anyone out early since stepping(Scott aside) up in class. He's likely going to have Morrison in front of him for a while and Morrison will have plenty of time to capitalize on some of those flaws and knock him out. Not a forgone conclusion that he'd win, but it's more likely.
