    :think
You are on to something with that analysis! Looking at it closely I think even Roy Jones Jr and the GREAT SRR will be lucky to go 5 rounds with GGG. Simon is one ATG son of a ***** and was taken out in one by GGG!

as of now I take tommy, experience does matter he has many fights against many different style
it is a possibility I think ggg can tko Hearn not flatten him with one but maybe wear him down its very unlikely
it is more likely hearns outpoint ggg quit easily Hearns was a good boxer and mover
I heard Gennady likes to take a few of the opponents jabs to test if there a hard punching then sticks his chin on out purpose to let theme hit if he does this with hearns there's only one place he's going

It all comes down to chins imho, and who gets to who first.

Golovkin has a great chin ... but he's never gotten tagged by somebody with the nuclear power of Hearns.
Hearns' chin was not as bad as folks make out. However, GGG is a monster puncher himself, so bad news for Tommy.

When this thread was first posted I would have picked Tommy.

Now I'm starting to edge towards Golovkin.

If GGG could cut off the ring on Hearns and force a phone booth brawl, I think he could come out on top, although it is by no means a given.

Tommy was a fine, fine boxer when he wanted to be. My blueprint for him would be to take a risk and try to land the big power early. IF he can make Gena respect his power and make him box, I think Hearns could earn a decision, although that's by no means a given either.

Either way, it would be a great, competitive fight.

Hearns was a great fighter with dynamite in his hands, especially that straight right hand of his which is one of the hardest punches P4P thrown by any fighter ever.

I think some people think of some of his knockout losses and believe Gennady could potentially do the same to him. Anything could happen, but I think it really all depends on how Tommy would decide to fight him. If he fought from a distance and kept throwing those effective jabs with his ridiculous reach advantage, than I think he could cruise to a decision. Hearns was a very sound boxer and had great fundamentals. He just had supreme confidence in his power and didn't mind banging with guys that he could probably just outbox from a distance.

I've been watching boxing for 30 years, great fighters come and go, GGG is not more special than say a Trinidad.
