Did Maidana ruin Broner or is Broner just a massive hypejob?

Look at this guy Adrien Broner. About billions, thinks he's the greatest fighter since Ray Leonard. And who has he beat? Who the **** has this little turd beaten?

His best win is what C level Antonio DeMarco? He got a SD over a past prime C+ Paulie Malignaggi. Other notable wins include D level Emmanual Taylor. LMFAO. Yea, that guy.

He's not fought a single A level opponent his entire career.
And the B level guys he fought he looked like ****. Against Porter (one of my guys) he didn't even try to win it seemed. Even though Porter was drained to a corpse. He still looked lost.

And then against Maidana he received both a hilarious and quite honestly, a thorough physical beatdown. He absorbed a lot of punishment against a quality, but still completely B level opponent.

The guy is trash in my opinion both in and out of the ring. He was what like 22 or 23 when Maidana gave him the ass kicking. Plenty young enough to regroup and recalibrate your career and body. But all that happened was that he was exposed as a guy who all he ever did was beat DeMarco.

Who the **** is that that guy he beat for his 130 pound title? Some domestic level Argentina guy? Now we're having title fights with domestic guys from Argentina. You can't make this up.

I slightly disagree, Broner is good fighter, a carbon copy of pbf albeit a really poor copy. He is just not a welterweight. He dominated with his size at lighter weight, but he doesn't have enough skill when that is negated to hang with the big boys. He could be very good if stays at lightweight, any weight above that he lose his physicality and some fights.
You have to admit though, he can take his licks.

So you aren't concerned that the two B level fighters he fought dominated him? Including one who really gave him a beating?

Why would I be concern lol.
He is not a great. Both guys you mention are natural junior welterweight and a big welterweight.
Don't take me wrong, I truly enjoy the ass kicking.

yea his first title was bad. he was like WBO 1 and theven guy he fought was like ranked 13. I hate when a vacancy isn't fought for by the 2 highest and most available

kind of like Bertos WBC vacancy fight

He actually is a 140 or 147 pounder. The only way he made 130 and 135 was because he was heavily draining and still growing at that point.

It has nothing to do with size. And everything to do with the guy gets destroyed by even B level fighters.

You are under the false belief that it is rare for boxers to drain severely. Almost all of them do. It's rare when they don't.

I don't think he's a hypejob, he just became too ambitious and didn't know his limitations.

He's not a 147 lb fighter. Him leaving the LW division and going directly to WW was a commendable move on his part, but very foolish. Him fighting one of the weakest punchers in the division to claim an alphabet title (Paulie,) probably gave him a sense of false confidence that he could hang at WW.

It would've been interesting to see him stay at LW and see how he would've fared with other top fighters in that division. He's still relatively young and can be successful south of 147.

I agree that many of them do drain severely. But you're still missing the point. Broner couldn't make 130 or 135 in his dreams at this point.

The way he's gone up in weight and downhill along with it (in and out the ring), I believe his best days talent and resume are behind him. The way he was hyped, certainly a bust. But he's not some garbage fighter or anything. Some people take their hate a little too far not viewing him as having had a successful career.

He has pdf's shoulder roll but that's about it. His foot movement isn't a patch on pdf's, in fact it is pretty woeful.
He's always been a hype job as far as I'm concerned, and unless he sorts his feet out, he'll never be a top level fighter
