Gennady Golovkin vs Sugar Ray Leonard, 15 rounds. Who would win?

    Golovkin is an absolute beast.

I have no problems favouring him over Leonard.

    Early KO.

I think Golovkin would batter him.

SRL is the type of fighter who could spoil him.
But I still favor Golovkin to counter Leonards punches by getting in range and landing his crushing blows.

Doesn't anyone factor in the guy that showed up against Camacho? Remember that middleweight bout and Ray getting drubbed and stopped by a former non-puncher that was a junior lightweight?

This would be a repeat of the Brook fight.

Right, i'll do that, factor in the washed up 40 year old Leonard in the last fight of his career.
I'll say something off the wall and totally revolutionary here, Triple G would beat him.

SRL was a world class fighter in a golden age. He was faster and a harder puncher than Brook. Comparing him to Brook is not merited.

The fast feet and side to side movement of SRL offsets the cutting off ring ability of GGG and SRL wins a decision.

I'm not comparing him to Brook ,I'm saying the result would be the same.Want to tell me why it wouldn't be?

Well you actually said that it would be a repeat of Brook. I took it as you meant another early stoppage by GGG.

Who has GGG fought with the foot, hand speed and power that SLR had? I don't think GGG can trap him like the way he does other fighters. That are his advantages. However I can see it going either way, especially how GGG carries thudding power throughout.

I'm not responsible for your interpretation of my post, and I'm familiar with SRL ,I won £50 when he beat Hearns in their first fight. Given Leonard only had 2 fights at 160lbs ,where did he show this power at the weight?
I'd say Rubio who has a 75% ko at both middle and super middle, hits harder than Leonard,Lemiuex with 82% too.
