if a 1981 Ali could take a prime Trevor Berbick the distance in a semi-respectable fight, I'm pretty sure he can still beat the shlt out of Eric Esch.

Considering their common opponent was floored by Butterbean but gave Ali one of the worst beatings in boxing history, I think it's safe to say that this would resemble The Bean's fight with Johnny Knoxville.

Yep... just need decent mechanics and a basic gameplan to beat Bean.

As long as Ali takes a shlt before the fight he should be fine. No real game plan needed.

beatin butterbean is just being a semi decent enough boxer to let the fatso gass out, then club the helpless guy out since his cardio is way below yours.

Butterbean never went more than 4 rounds so Ali would only need to take the fight in to the 2nd half and Esch would gas horribly. Ali wins via cardiac arrest.

The Bean did ten rounds with Holmes.

Yeah and he was too cautious to throw any punches against a 51 year old Holmes who kept him at bay with 15 jabs a,round.....granted in the last round when he threw a,right Holmes fell on his ass...but even a Parkinson's ravaged 1981 Ali shuts out bean and stops him in 4-5

Ali was juiced to the gills on thyroid stimulants for the Holmes fight. Are we allowing PEDS?

I think The Bean has enough in the tank to beat a completely shot Ali, given a reasonably sufficient tune-up buffet dinner.
