    Wasn't Prescott PPV?

Sure it was, then he was supposed to fight Paul McCloskey on PPV but sky pulled the plug a week before if I remember as the pre booked sales were very low.

    Fight was gonna bomb hard

It won't unless Al Haymon is prepared to spend huge amount of money to win purse bids.

My exact thoughts watching the interview. Couldnt agree more.

I cringe when i see this from boxers nowadays. They ve watched and listened to floyd mayweather and now think they can now exhort the opponent. Tbf to mayweather. Pacman etc. They went out there and basically became legends first. Beating big names taking on big challenges going up multiple weights before they ever even thought about doing it. They earned the right. Whereas khans more famous for getting knocked out almost everytime he,s came up against anyone any good.

Embarrasing. Brook should forget him once and for all. If khan had went through his resume undefeated then you could say fair enough...the guy deserves the much bigger cut. But if your getting knocked out and beat and struggling against the guys he has...its a non starter really.

Brook needs to fight spence now. He,s still getting paid well for it. We re talking about more than a million for a fight maybe even a good bit more. Lets not talk like hes getting paid peanuts.

I fancy him to beat spence.

Market it right and he might make more than he did against GGG.

I mean Brook will get 75% of the purse split but he will make much more with Ppv upside and Spence will not be entitled to any upside I don't believe he will just get 25% of the bid.

Id personally expect this fight to do atleast 3/4 of the numbers he did against GGG.

I think its eddies decision not to do it not only is it a risky fight...he ll need to put a decent bid in to win the purse bid without being guaranteed great ppv numbers...especially with a busy ppv schedule. And brook v golovkin not doing as well as he thought it would.

When you put your bid in your not sure what anyone else is putting in...if it does go to purse bids. Think thats how it works. Its allright saying haymons not paying much atm...but you dont know for certain if he is willing to invest in spence or not.

Thats the problem with eddie hes a bit shortsighted with his fighters at times. His thing is is to make profit every fight...makes sense. But occasionally you need to make a loss or make an investment for potential long term gain. Brooks been at that point for a while where they need to invest luckily the golovkin fight came up in terms of finance even though from a boxing perspective it was a stupid fight to take.

I agree i think the spence fight could potentially sell very well. But think eddie was disappointed in the golovkin numbers. Hes not wanting to take the risk on it especially when its a risky fight. Hence the reason hes still wanting the khan fight even at 30 percent. Makes a mockery of what he spouts saying he ll move heaven and earth for guys that have faith in him.

For me though its the fight brooks been waiting for...even if he loses he can still come again. Kells in danger of leaving boxing with a poor resume if they dont get it sorted soon. Their trying to miss out the bit where hes to establish himself before they just go for money fights.

I dont think the 75 percent of the purse compared to 25 percent is as big a deal as it looks. Because i dont think the purse will be that big anyway. The real money brook and eddie will make will be on the ppv numbers...again i think its eddie that doesnt want to take that risk. But sometimes you have to. Otherwise they ll just turn kell in to a fighter like khan is now just chasing fights for the most money taking easiest resistance fights inbetween. Too many businessmen ruining the game.

Brook vs golovkin did over 400,000 buys. When has Hearn ever said he was disappointed in the numbers

Over 400,000 is great numbers. Also where is the proof that eddie is happy to do the fight at 70/30.

Let's show real evidence instead of just speculating people

****. I need to start doing posts with fewer words. Start typing than get carried away everytime. That above was meant to be about three lines. Probably stuff people are aware of anyway.

I m pretty sure i ve seen him in a video saying he was disappointed in the numbers...i could be wrong tho. Pretty sure hes said it a few times. When you think about it...400,000 isnt that great numbers considering golovkin and brook would have took a good chunk of money home with them. 400,000 times 15. Is 6 million. How much did brook and golovkin get for that fight what about the undercard. All the other expenses. There is more income to go on top of that 6 million but that will be your biggest income. I think eddie overestimated golokins name with the casuals. Thinking cause hes probably the best or one of the best in the sport everyone will want to get involved. Not realising golovkin isnt actually a massive draw atm like say canelo is. Decent numbers but considering who was fighting thats not massive numbers. Golovkins the best in the sport.

No proof on eddie being happy to do the fight at 70/30 but everything kind of indicates hes not against it. Does he not just get 20 percent for his work in a fight. Weather kell gets 100 percent or 10 percent...hearn will still get his twenty percent. Thats why hes not doing what he should have done yesterday and tell asif...that him and khan are a pair of goons.

I think i m wrong in that bottom part because it ll probably be a co promotion anyway. Maybe its 20 percent of brooks total intake. In that case the percentage does matter to him. Would be interested to see where he takes his 20 percent off. The total fight revenue or brooks cut. Personally because sky do all the work it might come off the top. Again i m speculating

Nah Eddie has never said Brook vs GGG was disappointing numbers. Anything over 400,000 in the UK is hot.

We don't even know how high it went. All we know is that Eddie said it was higher than AJ vs Whyte.

400k for GGG v Brook is terrific numbers.

Any ppv doing 400k over here is succes let alone a foreign fighter not known to the masses.

AJ v Whyte for instance did 420k and that's involving AJ who is the biggest draw over here as well as all the beef him and Whyte had. Brook v GGG matched that, that's success.

I don't understand why Asif is trying to second guess the ppv numbers for Khan v Brook as if they may not be that high. Everyone knows the fight does huge ppv numbers and there should be no issue with guarantees for both fighters then the ppv upside on the back end.

A huge guarantee on the front end really isn't needed as the ppv revenue will be huge.

Khan just wants his extra up front as he needs to pay Al Haymon. That's his problem and not Brook's.

Exactly. Brook would still be well paid fighting Spence. Hearn said brook got more than the 600k Warren offered him to fight Smith fighting Gavin.

He would get a nice payday vs Spence even though it would be less than the GGG and Khan payday.
