saunders beat ****ing Andy LEE, Still the best win of them all. oh you forget about that. andy lee was a top 5 mw
Remember a few years ago when this question would come up it was a joke. Because there was nobody 160 in the world who stood even a remote chance. Now it's not so easily dismissed. Perhaps Golovkin is past his prime like Froch said.
so hes beat blackwell, ryder, lee, eubank jr all the domestic/irish gang. he still hasnt reached his peak. trust me boxing skills mean alot more than eubank making strides beating up plodders. eubank shows good athleticism but no real boxing IQ.
ROFLMAO He's got more chance of swimming the Atlantic Ocean non stop than he has of LEGITIMATELY beating Gennady Golovkin. He'll have to grow a set first unless he becomes the first testicular transplant success
Oops, I forgot, Cotto, the guy who beat Murrays leftovers. Yeah, The lone HOF on Yellers resume, but a guy who was comprehensively outclassed by Trout, similarly by Mayweather, a WW by any stretch of the imagination, and who's only legit and solid wins over 147 are a broke dikk Jew by the name of Foreman, a similarly broke dikk MW titlist who'd kept his title thru robbery, and a former titlist who he had to starve to beat.
Yes, I think he is past prime. I rated GGG very highly based on eye test, and he hasn't looked so good to me lately. He's still the best at 160 lb though, and ought to beat Canelo should they fight this year IMHO.
Eubank Jr is a severly underrated W, and Lee had just KTFO Jackson, Korobov, and came back from the jaws of defeat to draw with Quillin.
ROFLMAO you HOPE !!! To beat him they've first they've got to grow a set so they have the courage to get in the ring to fight him. So far all Pollo's done is TALK TRASH !! Then slither away with his little tail between his kegs totally embarrassed
Let's not look past Daniel Jacobs . Anyone can get caught with a good shot to the temple and if Jacobs comes out with swarming attacks which I think is a good strategy since he has faster hands we may see a new champ at 160 .
Respect your opinion but disagree one could easily argue Golovkin doesn't have the speed, movement or boxing ability that has shown to trouble Canelo. Golovkin isn't a slick fighter who going to try and stay out of range and counter he's a come forward pressure boxer. Faster jabs than GGGs haven't been able to land consistently and Alvarez is pretty slick at times with his upper body movement. Alvarez has shown himself to be a good inside fighter who can slip and dodge shots in close range and return in killer counter combos. In regards to this matchup Alvarez is being underrated and Golovkin overrated a bit, as much as people criticize his resume or recent history him beating Smith and Khan was a better than than any top 5 fighter at 154 or 160 did last year.
you are a moron that doesn't understand business in the slightest. Surely getting underpaid at your own job because you don't know **** about how to negotiate. So many guys on here are just dumb. Like special education dumb. Millions of dollars on the line and you are talking like it is a ****ing scrap in the back of the school yard that one of the guys is afraid to go to after class. Just ****ing clueless.
Ever since the infant Gennady was dipped by his father in the radioactive Lake Chagan in Kazakhstan, and then he grew up on a diet of deer hearts and fermented mare's milk, no man yet born has been able to defeat the professional Kazakh boxer. Even the fouling machine Ward at light heavy, with all his paid off judges, has no chance.
I dont think Jr makes MW comfortably. His daddy f/n the GGG negotations very well may have given him a much higher probablity of beating GGG or at the very least, getting a fatter check. I could see Jr easily KOing DeGale, then when GGG moves N to 168, it would be difficult for GGG to argue paying Jr a fat payday, esp considering he'll be by far the biggest draw in the UK with Fury out indefinitely, and Joshua skating on this ice this april.
