Its so obvious LSC wins. There already talking about a trilogy fight. They will have a third fight because it will be so easy to make and will still make nice money. That also means Frampton dont have to fight Selby and other world champs and will have another nice little payday in a trilogy fight.
I've been thinking this too I must admit. It just seems a bit odd and suspicious the way they keep talking about a trilogy already straight after the first fight. But Frampton doesn't strike me as a guy who would be involved in any fixing? Although I have heard him talking about how he's obviously in it for the money too as he has a family and lower weights don't get paid as much. Do you mean you think Framptons in on it too? Or do you think the judges already have Leo marked as the winner as long as he keeps it a close fight? So Carl would have to knock him out. I'm always suspicious of fixed money fights too. I just thought it was odd the way they kept banging on about a trilogy before the 2nd fight has even started, it's easy to get paranoid since fixed fights probably have happened. It's just hard to imagine Framps being involved in any shenanigans though! Paranoia lol
Don't think so. They always have prelims on stand by in case of a weigh in nightmare. Main event is not allowed to start before a certain time for TV network obligations.
My prefight summary and prediction for tonight's Frampton/Santa Cruz fight: http://tinyurl.com/zphfv76
I'm going to try my best to stay up for this fight, hopefully it won't be on later than 4am, atleast the undercard looks pretty good which helps fight off the tiredness. Anyone else staying up to watch it live?
Must be tough for you these days Two Shakes - seeing Carl soar like an eagle while your boy Quigg is grounded more like a turkey - !
Not 20 minutes after his victory at 1:30 in morning, Josh Taylor's wiki page as been updated. Impressive! Decent fight though.
Very impressed with Santa Cruz tonight, he outboxed the boxer. Great change of styles and stuck to his gameplan. The judge who scored it a draw I can't agree with I thought Santa Cruz had it by 2-3 rounds.
Every very classy behaviour from Carl and Barry. Freely admitting Leo deserved it...no shabby excuses from these two. A credit to boxing.
Frampton levels above Cruz eh ? pmsl He was given a boxing lesson, and countered hard and hurt when he got too aggressive. Maybe if he had a decent trainer, he could of changed tactics and made the fight more competitive. Mcguigan said and did nothing constructive, he even told Carl he'd just lost one of the only rounds he actually won ffs.
Carl has got star quality about him but looked off tonight, his shots didn't have that usual snap and he faded badly after the 6th round. I think he would shine under a team like the Mayweather's.
