Now he is fighting Thurman, who is not his mandatory. Is Danny Garcia a cherry picker?

I find one thing on this site and that is; respect is never given.

So Thurman is a cherry pick now??:elboinas:

This is a unification fight, between two of the best in the division. Only a ****** would think this is a cherry pick.

Agreed. Everyone is so quick to discredit someone but it's crickets when someone does something good.

I must admit I've been part of the '**** Danny Garcia brigade' for a while, the dodgy decisions and substandard opponents coupled with his obnoxious dimwit of a father really made him a hard guy to like.

All that said, he's stepping up to the plate at 147 by taking on Thurman and should get some credit for that now. Better a bit late than never!

It took 2 years of social media heckling for Danny to fight Thurman.

boxing is a business . it flows one way then another. At the time when everyone was cherry picking to maintain that Zero undefeated record. Hoping a praying for that big pay day with mayweather. Now that money is gone you got to fight your way to the big pay day the golden goose is gone. And the fans are benefiting with the best fighting the best.

On the day the fight occurs, he gets a clean slate with me. His dad will forever dwell in infamy, however.

When Al Haymon is your advisors apparently you don't get to pick your opponents in the first place.

Jesus Christ, really? He finally finds his testicles and man's up after 3 or 4 years of light touches and decides to fight someone who has an actual chance at beating him (in reality he was forced by Haymon), and we're supposed forget all that, jump on his bandwagon and praise him now? What's wrong with you?

He was never a cherry picker. He's just a fighter a few Mexican right fans are mad at because he beat Morales and fought a close fight and got the nod over
    Herrera.

He has two big cherry picks at awkward timing among 30+ fights and wins. A couple great opponents in his past too... He has a pretty darn good resume. Reasons (the two softies, being pretty inactive, annoying trainer) people bash him are understandable, but I think they hold him to a much higher standard than others. Much of the hatred stems from him defeating fighters with very large and dedicated fanbases (Khan, Matthysse, Morales).
