There was a hilarious part in the fight when Wlad got turned around and showed his back to Fury. Wlad held a glove to the back of his head then looked at the ref in fear. The ref signaled he won't interrupt just because Wlad is being scared, Wlad turned around and got tagged in the face point blank by Fury. Which was amateurish from Wlad and cringeworthy to watch. I am saying this as a Wlad fan!

The ref overall did a good job IMO but yes, he could have deducted a point from Wlad for the attempted headbutt. It was not easy to see though, I only noticed it on youtube, not while watching the live broadcast.

 

I don't like the old fighters taking on the young hitters. Never have. Take on the boxer types but not the big hitters. Very few old guys have ever bothered to do that kind of thing & seek out the mediocre hitters for their diminished reflexes.
