Eddie Hearn makes Errol Spence offer to come and fight Kell Brook

Brook, like most boxers, has always wanted the most lucrative fights available. Of course he would rather take a big money fight or a unification fight over a less lucrative madatory.

Brook, like most fighters doesn't want to give up his title so will fight his mandatories if he can't get a better fight.

 

Khan won't happen. Brook beating Spence leaves brook as the A side and Khan will not accept any 50/50. That fight will never happen.

 

Fight fans are begging, if he doesn't fight Khan then a majority of people want him to fight Spence. Which it looks like he's about to do

 

What people. He stepped up two divisions to fight a more difficult opponent in GGG. He looked at Khan as that was a huge payday. History is littered with fighters paying step aside money to mandatory challengers for more lucrative fights.

 

I'm glad Brook has done this. I really thought he was gonna stall his career hoping for a mega fight.

Winning a high risk fight like this will do wonders for his career.

Spence, Khan and then either Pacman or move up to 154.

I think Khan will eventually take it when he realises he's got no more undeserved big paydays left. He must be half aware of this already. One more KO loss and he's ****ed so he might as well get paid big before that happens. He's running out of nobodies to fight. Get paid big getting knocked out by Brook or get paid peanuts getting knocked out somewhere else.

 

Brook doesn't duck any fighter.

THE appealing prospect of IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook fighting Amir Khan is receding into the distant future.

“We’ve had a quite a lot of meetings and the communication channels aren’t closed. But we’re just too far out. It’s not like we’re 5% away, we’re 20% away. They keep saying we shouldn’t be thinking about the percentage, we should be thinking about the purse that’s been offered. But what about the rest of it? It doesn’t mean we roll over and give the rest to you. So we feel there should be some kind of parity, bearing in mind the situation for both fighters. It’s frustrating because it’s a wonderful fight, a huge fight, both guys make a fortune and you can do it again,” Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn told Boxing News

The promoter will try to snare a fight with Manny Pacquiao later on this year. “We are talking to Bob Arum, we will be making offers for Pacquiao for September, October,” he continued. “I and everybody around him want and know that at 154lbs he’s a much better fighter than at 147lbs. But he does have a belt at 147. He can make it but he’s depleted. He would have to make 147 to fight Khan but it’s Khan. You couldn’t stop Kell from doing that. But we’ve made Errol Spence an offer to come and fight Kell and we’ll see what they come back with.

“If it’s welterweight it’s definitely Errol Spence and if it’s light-middle, then we’ve got to move fast to either challenge for a world title or put ourselves in a position to challenge for a world title. He’s a much better fighter 154, there’s no doubt about it, but it’s hard convincing him to give up his position.”

It’s not so straight forward finding a major fight at super-welterweight. “Cotto’s the dream pick, Cotto and Alvarez although he’s all over the place with his weight, Alvarez. But it’s not the most glamorous division amongst the champions. So good fighters, some excellent fighters. The Charlo brothers, Lara but not huge names,” Hearn said. “But Kell can go in and be a huge name in that division himself.

If Spence takes this fight at 147 and beats Brook he won't get much credit anyway. Haters like the thread starter and others will just say Brook was drained from fighting at 160.

 

You reckon?im not so sure,it's not that I don't rate Spence cause I do and like Golovkin say his peers certainly rate him but I see Brook going to war with him and let's say Brook hit Spence with one of those Uppercuts that hit GGG then it could be lights out for Spence,you're the uppercut artist what do you reckon to Brooks uppercut?
