    Many HW fans care about him a lot more than they care about Washington who I like and want to see against Wilder. But, If I were to make a list of possible Wilder opponents from best to worse, I'd put him at #2, behind Ortiz and ahead of Washington.

    We've seen Deontay in worse fights for his WBC strap TBF and would have again had he been able to beat on the Polish pudding he had lined up.

    Anyway, he keeps saying this is a tune up fight to test out his recovery so I'm not interested in who he fights until he steps it up a notch.

    When he fights Wlad, AJ, Fury, Parker, Ortiz, Pulev or Haye let me know. Until then...

    Wilder should fight Takam :D But don't say it too loudly or Wilder needs to sit down for a rest.

    This. I agree that Wilder's competition since winning the belt is awful, but Takam is no threat to Wilder and would get stopped with the first right hand Wilder lands. After this voluntary he needs to fight Parker for unification or a top 10 fighter.

    Takam was competitive with both Parker and Povetkin. I'd say he's legit.

    I'd say he knocks Wilder the **** out if Deontae ever gets the stones to fight him.

    Agree. He can take a great shot, he's a busy fighter and packs a pretty good punch himself.

    Wilder doesn't want anybody that can fight back.

    Washington is not a terrible defence, but Takam > Washington.

    Takam has a VERY good uppercut as he showed against Povetkin. And Povetkin cracked him with some heavy shots all through the fight and Takam stayed upright up until the end where he just gave out. Deontey would have shut off in the 3rd round of that fight. There is no way Wilder wants anything to do with him.

    Takam has a better resume than Wilder and just from watching him he is more skilled. So wilder won't fight him.
