Judges put too much emphasis on damage, DEFENSE should be the #1 priority in terms of scoring fights

    Great defense is scored indirectly buy you simply not getting hit with shots that would score the opponent points.

    the idea in its simplest form is to hit and not get hit. but the hit comes first and the not get hit comes second.

    I completely DISAGREE. I don't think fans, in general, score defense enough but, I believe defense should be 2nd, or even 3rd, on the scoring priority. The name is the game is to hurt your opponent.

    Agreed. Maybe not hurt always, but minimum the name of the game is hit. Afterall the saying goes: 'Hit and don't get hit'. In that order. Defense really should only be used to split fighters in a tight round...
