But why? It makes no sense to me. Especially Khan who seems to me like is the closer to retirement of the 2. What other big paydays are out there for him? Manny? Bradley? Neither of those could generate as much interest, could they?

This was the myth, he didnt put muscle on. He came down from 185 to 16
This was the myth, he came down from 185 to 160 and did not do any water cut... he did not gain any muscle, its impossible to gain muscle whilst losing 25lbs all in about 8-10 weeks.. the difference is from late 150's he'l water cut to 147... i think he should make 147 fine he just needs to give himself about 10-12 weeks to do it.

The writer you speak of will never do that, he hates on just about every British fighter & never gives them any credit, but Brook & Joshua seem to get the most of his hate. If the Brook Spence fight does happen his opening line will go something like this "This is bad news for Brook as Spence is a very talented fighter blah blah blah.."

Yeah & US fighters NEVER get favouritism when they fight in America.

It always amazes me how Yanks think it's on British soil where robberies happen and completely neglect their own historic record of shameful robberies that have taken place.

Well if this actually comes off we may have something quite revolutionary here for the modern day.
Two boxers fighting to actually see who is the best in the world at their weight.

When did I ever say in my post ,robberies dont happen in the US ?
I would never say such a thing .
Did you see Ward vs Kovalev ? One of the biggest robberies we had in a while that took place in the US
Me being an American can honestly say they did the Russian dirty and the American did not deserve the decision .
But yes Robberies happen in both British soil and the US and both have favoritism towards their own fighter .

personally i think hearn/brook are going about this the wrong way

hearn / brook may get a slightly better payday in uk, but surely it would be a good idea to give kell brook some us exposure and get a few fights in us for him to build his name more over there?

Lets say brook, loses a tight decision to spense.
Khan will slate him and say his bubble has burst
If he wins in any fashion
Khan will say the numbers werent great.
They wont be as spense is completely unknown over here even tho he is the major threat in the division.
Khan can beat diaz going life and death, algueri coming off a loss stepping up in weight, collazo who had been in the wilderness for years yet he's still not convinced brook has earned the chance to face brook.
Now its obvious why brook wants to end khan, and vice versa why khan is petrified of brook.but when all is said and done, khan isnt gonna come close to a kegitimate ww title, brook needs to move on,move up,become a legit 2 weight titleist and let khan rinse his fans stupid enough to buy into him till hes knocked into irrellevence.
No matter what brook does,he'll struggle to make what khan does but, when hes retired he'll be able to say he was the best ww in the world and maybe lmw, khan can say he earned more whilst in the grand scheme of things being completely irrelevant

Not having a pop.but, who has been clamouring to get in with brook ?
Spense hasnt either.brook is obviously a hard nights work for the best.he jumped up and faced ggg who is steam rolling everyone at mw.are we gonna say he took ggg's best and was still standing but spense is gonna blow him away.put yourself in spense's shoes,u see that fight.would you rather make a name, take a vacated belt whilst brook moves up,let it simmer, win a few defenses and move up which he innevitably will,or take on brook now for pittence in comparrison and risk being blew away himself.
Why would what khan says matter a jot when hes fought no one of note, nor will he unless the mega money is there.
Khan has been of zero rellevance as far as titles go at ww and wont be either,he's a cash *****,let him continue till he has to fight someone who can bang, then hey presto its sleepy time again.
He's beaten kotelnik for a title that is it,what else can he claim ?
