    You mean the same EM who lost to Zahir Raheem. PBF had too much lateral movement for EM he would have absolutely clowned him at 130 a weight that PBF is the GOAT at I may add.

    Oscar may or may not have been the betting favorite over PBF at 147 but the smart money would have been on PBF that's for damn sure. Oscar had a history of coming up short in big fights that can't be refuted it's true he does the same here. Hell a shot to **** Pea Whitaker outlanded clowned and dropped Oscar, PBF would beat him.

    Oscar, Mosley and Morales looked vulnerable at times at the prime ATG level. They've been exposed to that high quality of boxing. Whereas Mayweather's brain and body hasn't been exposed to boxing quality of that sort. We don't know how he could handle it.

    Anyway back to the thread topic, HOW MANY MANDATORIES IS GERVONTA GOING FOR WHEN THERE ARE EIGHT, YES, EIGHT TOP FIGHTERS IN HIS DIVISION?
    Can he not even fight Jason Sosa?

    It's been all of two weeks since Davis won his title, and now people want him to vacate if he doesn't face Lomachenko in his next fight? For starters, Lomachenko's in talks to face Jezreel Corrales in April. So a fight with Lomachenko likely wouldn't happen until later on in the year, anyway. In the interim, Davis can make a couple of defense, raise his profile a bit and then TMT can attempt to guide him toward a unification. If he faces and defeats Walsh and then someone else of reasonable quality, then he's hardly holding the title hostage.

    Several of those top fighters have either been inactive, are spoken for, or are out of commission. But in the interim, he can follow Loma's lead at featherweight and fight two mandatories followed by a run of the mill contender before stepping up...:thumbsup:

    I actually never said he should fight Loma next. I said:
    Berchelt, Lomachenko, Gamboa, Corrales, Salido and Miura are all warriors. Gervonta doesn't belong there. Hell, throw in Sosa and Walters, too. That's 8 boxers...
    But demographic paranoia in this thread has just assumed I said he must face Loma immediately or vacate.

    I have no problem ultimately with him facing one mandatory i.e Walsh, and someone like Tevin Farmer (no less of an opponent than Tevin), then he could fight Sosa before going for the actual belt holders - that's the only way he would seem acceptable to me, otherwise if he's fighting guys like a shot Jhonny Gonzalez and Russell Jr's other victims for lolz, then it IS making a mockery of the sport.

    People are just falling right into the hands of those who are trying to weaken boxing. They're even creating excuses for boxers now. This is a disgrace.
