I might give the kid a break if I didn't hear that very same same **** all the time, but then rarely get a competitive matchup between highly regarded fighters. I'm sick of it and ***** about it every chance I get. Why should Davis be an exception?

 

Prime De La Hoya would have a hell of a shot at beating Floyd at 147 and would most likely be favored to win, but Morales at 130? Nah, he would of been beaten worse by Floyd than he was by Raheem..

Well the top fighters only fight 1-3 times per year. Usually twice a year. So if you get a string of bad management, bad timing or whatever it only takes a few fights and you've wasted years of your career.

 

You'll fit right in at the ESB lounge then. That is if you're not already there with an alt.

 

Hey, speaking of Oscar...Do you know who his first title defense were against when he first won a world title...? An unheralded Gregorio Campenella. Yet, no one at the time accused him of holding a title hostage. The worst that was said at the time was that it was hoped he would fight someone better in the future...and he eventually did.

We should give Davis the same chance...or, at least, wait to see who he actually fights.

 

Yep, but the real problem is the rubbish rankings put out by the organizations leading to weak mandatories.

Davis has only held the title for two weeks, you gotta give him time at this stage.
