In the future, I suspect we will many fighters try to implement TBE's style in the ring.

It's gonna take many years, but I suspect many kids starting boxing today are using that defense and honing them skills. Discuss.

Boxing will be amazing once these guys come along.

 

I already see many kids using it in street fights and successfully I might add!

The problem is when these fighters think a Philly shell is enough to be Mayweather-esque. He was so much more than that.
Broner and Berto looked like idiots with their philly shell.

To be honest I think it would be impossible to pull off. Nobody had anywhere near the stamina of The Best Ever AKA Joe Calzaghe

 

Marathon runners everywhere have successfully implemented Floyd's great style.

 

There is no such things such as floyd style, if you talking about shoulder roll, Floyd copy it from locche, who used it way more than floyd, the pull counter and stab jab are Ali's moves, I'm also sure Ali got it from his predecessor. Although I admit floyd incorporate all those moved seamlessly.

Anyhow, Floyds style requires high IQ. I really feel he's a hailey's comet to the game. Shakur I'm not a fan of because he fights like 40 year old Floyd. Young Floyd didn't mind banging and bringing the fight to guys. Time will tell MVC.

 

It takes a lot more than just watching mayweather in order to fight like him. I think you'll see maybe a few cheap imitators per generation and one who is close to it. But no one will surpass the execution of his style for a long time.

 

And fail.
In order to use it effectively, you'll need his very distinct build with broad shoulders and incredible reach for his size. Then you'll need his timing as well.

Or we must be talking about just using defense as the main weapon. Then a US passport is your main asset to get the judges behind you.

 

Outside of the ring, it's already done and going up at full force! Cherrypicking and ducking is trendy since Mayweather pave the way in that direction.
