How tough is to get to the top of the sport.
Collazo looked great, sharp, with good defense, a southpaw with elegant footwork, good at fighting on the ropes and smart on the exchanges, but even with all that, he never reached the top of the sport.
But people here still thinks that they can beat a professional boxer on the level of Collazo, even when he archived more than 99% of the professional boxers.
The sport is tough and even if you dislike a boxer, you have to be special to reach the top of the game.

He was the welterweight world champion, but he arguably beat Berto and Hatton, knocked out Victor Ortiz, hurt Thurman badly to the body and just knocked out Sammy Vasquez cold

I don't think there's anyone on here who would claim they would beat Collazo in a boxing match on this forum if both men weigh the same. If they believed that would be boxers.

Every day you can see people claiming they can beat Amir Khan or Paulie Malignaggi, even when a professional journeyman would murder almost everyone here.

Depends some journey man are hopeless and anyone of us could do a similar job of getting Koed in one round. However in terms of gatekeeper and anything above If you could do what they do that person would be a boxer so their lying.

I've not seen anyone say they could beat up the two, they might call them bums or whatever but if they honestly believe they could beat those guys in a welterweight boxing match they are high on something.

I still see a lot of people say Paulie would beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match and he's a killer in the combat game.

    It's probably true though imo

Luis Collazo gave Ricky Hatton his first loss. But the bought and paid for Boston judges jobbed him and gave the fight to Hatton. Of course the whole thing was fixed. It was Hatton's American debut. Who ever heard of a fight in Boston?

Are you aware Collazo lost every round of the fight with the exception of the 3rd? Sammy was doing a fine job, but clearly wasn't ready to step in the ring with a decent counter puncher with a savage right hook, that soon after taking a beating against Felix Diaz while he had a tumor in his head, and then having a surgery to remove it in July, it was the height of irresponsibility to even sanctioned that match. And YES that excuse matters.

I wasn't roasting Vasquez, he is good, i don't think he's anything special, but he's good.
But my point was that Collazo showed a really complete set of skills and even with that, he never reached the top of the sport.
