Have to disagree here Pimp, both K2 and GBP seem positive that the fight will be made in their latest news. Which means IMHO that the financial side must be close to agreement.

Loeffler and ODLH both said that the danger is if either Jacobs or Chavez Jr pull the upset / controversial decision.

I think they are just waiting to see what happens with Jacobs or Chavez Jr before completing the deal and announcing the fight. Both GBP and K2 are trying to sell their next fights as true superfights in their own accord where either fighter can win, so I don't expect any news until after Canelo-Chavez Jr in May.

It doesn't matter what Canelo mace against Floyd or what 3G made against anyone else. It's goes on what they expectations are (Which is that this will sell huge). 3G has a couple of things Canelo needs.

1. Removing the chicken tag he got for dumping his belt
2. Being recognized as the MW champ. If you think canelo will stick around 160 and NOT be a champion, you're deluded. It's an ego thing.

Fury's ring walk for the Klitschko fight was one of the greatest displays of confidence and self belief ive ever seen in boxing.
