Its now or never..... everything is against him though age, strength, speed, style, power Joshua is better in all those categories
Wlad's finished, stick a fork in him. Best win is against the cheater Povetkin who never won a real heavyweight title. Most humiliating loss, my personal favourite was against Lamont Brewster. And a brutal beating fight against the bodybuilding rookie Joshua is soon to come.
Who says it is? Even if he gets spanked, guys like Holyfield, Ruiz, Rahman and now Briggs have gotten their "final shot" over and over again.
All of them needed the money badly, Wlad does not. This IS his final shot, if he doesn't win, he'll move on with his business ventures rather than tarnish his image and legacy further by fighting on.
Depends how he loses. If it's close he may want to try again and go for a rematch thinking he can do better next time around. But if Joshua beats him convincingly then it's likely he retires, he's been on the top for so long I don't think he'd want to continue being just another contender or a paper title holder. Maybe he has one last fight to say thank you to his fans but that's it. But then again maybe I'm wrong, some guys can't say goodbye to the game and hang around for too long even if they don't need the money but I don't see Wlad as being that kind of fighter, he's smart, has a young family, has millions in the bank, I think he can walk away satisfied.
Wlad has the advantage in skills, experience and power. He also has better footwork than robot Joshua. Wlad will KO him, because Joshua is a stationary opponent and Wlad will time his shots perfectly.
Vlad wants to be number 1 in the division. Number 2 isnt enough at this stage of his career so if the Fury rematch had happened and he had lost he would of retired, if AJ beats him or has a rematch and beats him again then he will retire. He isnt in it for money now, he knows his body is at the end of its fighting age but he believes he beats Fury in a rematch, he believes he beats AJ, nobody else in the division is much of a threat to him even now. He beats Joshua he is back to being number 1.
his final, thank god, ever since his brother retired hes had noone to dig him out from facing someone moderately broadly skilled kicking his az.
^The Herol perspective. I was really wondering what Herol would have to say about Wlad, he always has something fresh and new to say
yeh the fresh perspective that the fact is wlad cant put right his own defeats. ok, thats fine if thats fresh to you.
you know what BCS, I am going to cut you slack today and let you know I am actually rooting for Wlad, the underdog, since I like the underdog.
Even if he were to take a loss, but he does not get beaten too badly and gives a good account of himself , this won't be the end of his career I think this thread is going for dramatics That said, I pick Wlad to knock Joshua out
