**** these obsecure fighter I can't see any tape on, from now on if I've never seen the guy fight I'm not picking it's literally a coin toss which I barely ever get right lol.

 

There is plenty of footage of Kuga and Ishimoto available! Every time you see an Asian boxer you don't recognise visit http://www.asianboxing.info/videos and see if they have anything. In this case they had 8 Ishimoto fights and 5 Kuga bouts! Plenty of tape on most of these guys. That's ignoring what Taka and Asianboxing have hidden from Boxingraise and Asign (which tends to be available on request)

An absolute **** of footage out there on really obscure fighters and more available by the week.

 

Yeah Asiaboxing does a great job at covering and making footage available, I don't think there was any footage of their first meeting online though.

 

There was no footage of their first meeting but plenty of the two guys in seperate bouts so at least there was a chance to scout them.

It wasn't even competitive obviously

 

I researched this one and was fairly confident of a Kuga win, although I didn't expect it to be so one-sided.

Bad stoppage, Ishimoto was literally stopped after landing a punch.

 

From about 2 seconds in when Kuga landed that big right you could tell he wasn't even considering the score cards. He was in there to finish this early and go home quickly. Was beautiful to see, like Higa, a guy coming to the ring with the mentality of "I don't trust judges...I don't need them"

 

Looking at it the ref picked up the towel, so seems like Teiken saved their man rather than the ref stopping it (ref was actually a former fighter himself - http://boxrec.com/boxer/41797)

Not sure how the referee would have seen the towel though as it seems like it was well behind him. Kuga's team seemed to be on the apron very quickly...

 

Cheers bro these ****ing Asian fighters are killing me, very difficult to find footage of them, definitely check that site out.

 

I couldn't find footage of their first fight on YouTube so I just gave up.

 

My rationale in picking Kuga was simply the fact that their 1st fight was extremely close(according to Boxrec) and that Kuga was significantly younger.
