Andre Ward decision to rematch with Kovalev or retire...

Anyone who says Dre beat Kovalev , then that right there is called being biased . Calling this fight a robbery is simply speaking the truth .
All 3 judges giving Kovalev that 10th rnd shows you there was something hella fishy going on and the judges were never going to score the fight in Kovalev's favor and were looking to give Dre this fight by any means necessary . Ward did not deserve that 10th round and did not deserve the decision all together .

 

Ward needs to sit back and let this fight marinate until the networks cough up the money.
It makes no sense for Ward to fight the rematch for less money than he made for the 1st fight.
After rewatching the fight 4-5 times, each time I have Ward beating Kovalev by 2 points. After round 4 Kovalev slowed down and wasn't effecive. After round 8 Ward had Kovalev running, holding and wincing everytime Ward landed a body shot. Ward took Kovalev's heart in that fight.

 

Kovalev was actually more active the second half of the fight, lol. The numbers support it.

when i was a kid, almost every woman could name ten or so active boxers. now, probably 5-10% of men can name even one active boxer. boxing is less popular than golf, hockey and soccer. when i was a kid boxing was at least even with football and baseball. more popular than the sports i named previously and basketball, combined. sounds like everything is hunky dory to me.

 

I would strongly disagree. Boxing judges are not these mythical wizards on a magic mountain, seeing an undisputed truth we can't see. If the vast majority of the fans, veteran fighters, analysts, and other media disagrees with them, they ****ed up.

 

I call them as I see them, it's a robbery and I'm not the only one that sees it that way. Do you think Roy Jones Jr is biased by saying his friend benefited from a robbery?

 

I did not find the fight close or all that enjoyable.

 

Would like to see the rematch and think that is the thing he should do. However, if he doesn't have the decency to do it then get out and go far away from boxing. Tired of his constant antics and stupidity. **** or get off the pot. He stinks up the joint in more ways than one.

 

It was a high level chess match but because it was between two World class boxers I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.

 

What has happened to so many supposed "fighters " in the last 10 years ??? It used to be greatest honor in sport to be acclaimed The Heavyweight Champion of the World. today NO ONE knows who it is,
Sp many boxers must suffer from low self esteem. It started with Mayweather really fans calling him a coward etc His response was " OK I'm a coward but I'm a rich coward" Hardly fighting words huh ??
