He just doesn't have the fitness for professional boxing. It wasn't being 'chinny' that lost him the fight as he took some good shots early on just a lack of fitness. His jab 10% of the time looked world class the other 90% of them where terrible. Can't see where he can go, should retire.

 

I think he'll be back, setbacks lead to comebacks

Lack of desire to train I imagine, as after 6 rounds he was totally gassed and wobbling everywhere. To be in a 12 round fight that is totally risky and suicidal tactics, to gamble on getting the KO. He did well to get the knockdown when he looked like he was ready to go, but looked doomed all the time, with the corner advice during every round seeming dubious given his limited ability and capabilities.

 

His chin was a factor, he was buzzed/rocked from many Hammer shots

 

Credit to Price, his chin wasn't the weak link tonight.

He took plenty of big shots and remained upright, but ultimately his gas tank let him down.

Time to hang em up David, you looked like a fighter months between fights, and not a fighter at the door of the last chance saloon. Obviously not that concerned about salvaging his career when he turned up in that shape.

Exactly, Hammer didn't even punch hard. Price is such a lower. Caldwell as well chatted a lot of ****.

I also thought his chin held up ok against albeit not a massive puncher at heavy weight. But his stamina is just so poor. I honestly don't think it's through lack of training, Coldwell is not soft he'd have trained him hard for this. I think it could be biological with him he just cannot possibly get fit enough.

By the way, did anyone else think Lennox Lewis was hoping and enjoyed that happening?

Always thought Hammer was a horrible match-up. Price needs to be matched with equally massive specimens (there's plenty of big boys out there), these smaller durable types always fu*k the pooch.

 

I think Lennox just wasn't surprised. I think he knew from years ago that price wasn't cut out for this. Remember Maloney tried to blame him after the second Thompson fight.

No, because if he used his tools properly and didn't gas so easily beating someone with a 6 inch height advantage and massive reach advantage would usually be rather simple.
