It's sad this man gets more love abroad than he does in his own country.

Ward owning everybody. Keep giving these guys passes and moral victories. It's not helping them develop as Ward said. Good job winning the popularity contest. Ward won and became the champ. Another great interview from Ward!

True champs are champs for a reason.

That was fascinating and shows why I like Ward, his mental strength is amazing. He isn't the smoothest boxer, he hasn't got the prettiest style but like brilliant fighters that have gone before him, he adapts and makes the most of his strengths. He is very much an American Calzaghe.

He is totally right about Kovalov, why should Ward apologise for getting through the fire and coming out the other side, it was a close fight.

Kovalov isn't a pleasant person and is showing a fair bit of disrespect while Ward comes across as a gentleman and an articulate speaker.

Many have ducked Kovalov or simply succumbed to his power, but Ward who wasn't a light heavyweight moved up in weight after a long lay-off and beat him.

Boxing is about much more than the power, speed, strength, etc it's about what's inside your head and your heart. Ward has the heart of a champion.

Prime example of that tonight with Price, he hits adversity and can't handle it, because he has no heart - lovely guy but mentally fragile.

Mental strength is 50 per cent of what happens in the ring, if not more.

I have only one question for Ward:

    WHEN IS THE REMATCH?

Some good stuff in there. But Ward lost that fight. This makes me gain a bit of respect for him, some interesting insight on how he deals with fear and jitters pre fight. Definitely a cerebral fighter, but I don't respect what he said about Kovalev. He lost to Kovalev, fair and square.

Like I told people before the Barrera and Kovalev fights, BE PATIENT. The fight is gonna happen, just promise you'll accept Kovalev's second L to Ward. Is that something you have prepared yourself for?

Ward didn't move anywhere near as much as Chilemba did and although Chilemba has some aspects of Ward's game, he definitely isn't the same Andre Ward with the same toughness and mental attitude, nor the rough and rumble Inside game.
In the last rounds, it seemed to me that I started to see fear in Kovalev's eyes, especially when Ward got inside and started to work that body.

    No
No he's not. After the 2nd loss he'll say that Ward refused the drug test, or Ward roughed him up too much on the inside like a billygoat, or Kovalev had a headache and wasn't 100%.
You're right though. The fight will happen as soon as Ward gets the right deal.

How is it fair and square when all three judges had the same scores?

Yeah, great interview. I had to unsub from those youtube channels cause they spam relentlessly but this vid is a must see. Not much anybody can say against it. Kovalev is just going to have to hold that L, and the next one too.

Kovalev clearly beat the crap out of SOB period, no other result can be explained. Harold Lederman had it 116 - 111 for Kovalev. I had Kovalev winning and it was not close, SOB just held, tried to wrestle, head butt, in other words cheat. All three judges were for Ward, there were no judges from Russia or even neutral territory, even the referee helped Ward as much as possible. SOB should have been disqualified, but next time Kovalev should go ahead and knock SOB out cold, but even then the referee will pick Ward up and claim hie the winner...............that's how crooked boxing is. The under card showed it even more............More than 80% had Kovalev winning the fight, the crowd booed the decision loudly............Kovalev is still the light heavyweight champion and no criminal judges bias can claim otherwise. The polls disagree with SOB's personal judges, this is boxing, not politics............

SOB is afraid of the rematch..................SOB is still hiding.............SOB says no neutral judges or referee, they must be prejudiced or he will not fight............

None of what you said made any sense.
Why would there be Russian judges in America?
Are there American judges in Russia for Russian bouts?

Kovalev and his fans need to do less whining and crying, and more training.
Face it. The Krusher didn't krush ****.
