And to think he honestly thought he had a chance against Klitschko, that would have been a massacre if that had materialised, he should retire pronto.
I guarantee you he be calling out Joshua later today, or anyone that matter. He is pretty funny to watch, any heavyweight should be able to T off on him. It would be such a disaster if he tries again, I mean where does he go from this unless he is content being a gatekeeper, which he would fail miserably at. I'd love to see ole Cannon Briggs bobble head his tiny lil head in a round.
What I wonder is when they were doing Price's sparring rounds, did he also gas like this after 4-5 rounds? Can't you train the conditioning, with runs and endless sparring, rope jumping? It just seems to me him and his team never took this seriously and just trained for 4 rounders where he quickly scores a KO.
GOOD LORD this is the best fight that can be made in boxing right now. Briggs vs Price LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE LET'S GO PRICE
I feel for Price. He has had a tough time recently and I think it is unfair for people to poke fun. Sometimes I dont think some fighters get over a loss and do things differently from that point on. Price has looked nervous and fights as if worried about what is going to come back and I wonder if that is burning nervous energy? I have thought previously that When an opponent steps forward he jumps back quickly and looks concerned. I often felt Wladimir did this and still think he seems to, and thought the same with Bute before he lost to Froch. Not so much now with Bute. I think with Prices size and power that if he went for it that he would often win early but I dont think he would be looking to do this and if some fighters get through that he may be in trouble. I have said all of that, but my opinion counts for nothing and although not a big fan wish Price and his team all of the best over what I can only guess must be a tough time
And what was the last American v American HW fight? Trey Lippe v Ed Latimore? Malik Scott vs Tony Thompson? Washington vs Mansour? This was a better, more action packed HW fight than all of those.
Price is just like Vlad before Stewart taught him how to use his jab and height. If Stewart had trained Price, he'd fight just like Vlad and would have beaten Hammer easily.
Pre-Stewart Wlad has VASTLY superior resume to any of the newer heavyweights on the scene currently. Schultz, Barrett, Byrd, Jefferson, Shufford, Botha, McCline etc. Even the likes of Nicholson, shot but still game Mercer, Jackson, Bigfoot, Wolfgramm probably beat Price or at the very least give him a serious run for his money, there's no way Price would win more than 1 or 2 of these.
Not to mention, Price gave it his best to imitate Wlad last night. He tried to stick to his jab, tried to grab when Hammer closed the distance but just didn't have the technique, talent, strength or conditioning for it.
