Exactly. He has flaws in his game...the top 10 all do. I just think it comes down to the 2 fights which he edged out Takam and Ruiz. If they were a few extra rounds apart the conversation would be different.
You claim the complete opposite to these things, he lost to Ruiz jr, he had a fight with Takam where he showed that he has no power to keep serious punchers of him, he fights just like in amateurs, no improvement to his game, and I rate him at number 9 in my top 10, I bet you are rating him much higher.
Ruiz was close just like the Takam fight, no robbery there.. I agree fully that Parker has issues switching gears and fighting to his opponents level(I think for stamina reasons) but that's nothing that can't improve. At 24 he is BY FAR one of the most exciting and promising heavyweights on the scene, in a division that's lacking talent and prospects that's a definitely worthy of noting. I can remember you being critical of Parker going back years, seems to be that you have some hostility towards him... As for how I rate him... Somewhere between 5-10. How many young and promising heavyweights are there in the pros right now? Parker, Joshua and H. Fury are the only notable ones. In 5 years time Wlad, Povetkin, Ortiz, Pulev, Takam, Haye etc. will all be gone or on their last legs.
Number 9 in the world is reasonable, no problems there. But Ruiz Jr did not win that fight, at least 90% of the world's boxing media had Parker winning or a draw.
Well, at least New Zealand's Boxing Federation president has a similar opinion to mine and some in this forum thinks Ruiz won as well.
Why else start a poll on the WBO fight to justify your comments? There are a couple if threads and polls created post-fight. If you want agreement to your statement...just head to the bathroom, look in the mirror and say "I'm correct. The rest are wrong."
Glazkov said he could be back this summer on Ward-Kov undercard. Ward is gonna stall until summer urgh...
