If you look at the near end of the video, both boxers appear to have gloves that the red has been worn off the knuckle area...!!! Around 53:55 you see Kalenga's gloves both are similar to the ones indicated in the picture...!!!

 

Whew this is pretty damning. No way this happens by accident or could be a misunderstanding of any kind.

 

Interesting... but acetate has a very strong smell... surely the fighter/ref would have smelled it?

Wonder why this only coming out right now, that was a hell of a fight but Caribe promotions are shady as hell so who knows.

As in, the stuff in vinegar?

They don't notice that? Vinegar smells pretty strong. And if they're using undiluted stuff, the smell is of course even stronger.

Although I would think pure/glacial acetic acid would actually **** people up.

So I imagine he just smeared his gloves with vinegar.
