Training to hit a bag is not the same as injecting something to increase the oxygen intake to muscles or steroids to artificially increase power. Chemical enhancements of a fighter should have a zero tolerance stance the " they all do it so should legalise it brigade" need to realize that this is peoples lives that are at risk !

I wonder if they really understand the implications of taking blows to the head ?

It's not the same, but the desired result is the same.
All athletes are doing all sorts of extreme things to increase their aerobic capacity and to increase their power.
It's even legal to train at altitude to change oxygen levels, and to sleep in 'oxygen tents'. And to employ teams of scientists to devise training programmes and diets to maximize strength and power etc.
It's even legal to undergo surgery to make the limbs and joints "artificially" more durable or youthful again.

It's strange how all of this is considered fair game but a pill or an injection is treated as something horrific.

Boxers' lives are always at risk. Two well-trained guys punching themselves in the head for 36 minutes is horrible, with or without PEDs.
Why do we accept boxing at all ?

2 boxers going at it who have trained always has risks attached what PED's do is heighten those risks and create an un fair playing field ... it is not the same thing

Honestly doubt it in some cases, but boxing may be better than alternative paths in life in some cases.

once you veto enhancements, you may as well let one guy wear knuckle dusters.

essentially you are attacking someone with a physical weapon thats both outside the rules of boxing AND infringes on legal issues.

Its not fair on those; that dont cheat, that go into the fight with respect for the sport and their opponent, that might actually be the better fighter but lost out to someone whos doping advantage made the difference.

These "accusations" that all pro elite boxers are doping have no proof to them. I dont believe all of the pro elite are doping, maybe some but not all.

You can? Geez I didn't know. The risk factor stays the same then even WITH using PEDs huh?

It is political, because an american made counterpart of meldonium is LEGAL. Surely that isn't too hard to understand?

And I am amused how you try to denigrate her looks. She is a solid 10, near flawless features. Your ramblings in her regard remind me of a fat guy at a bar badmouthing a hot chick he knows wouldn't give him a time of day.

I don't watch female sports and to me personally, the only factor of interest is looks. I am a healthy adult male in my prime, why would I not look at them as women before athletes if I am not interested in their sport? The only sports I watch are judo, boxing and soccer, all 3 being best represented by male athletes. Besides, I am not american so I am not exactly afraid of what feminists might think and I sure as hell won't be "torn apart".

I've never said I liked Serena as a player, so no theres no bigotry involved. That said theres a world of difference between the noises they make - Cheatapova yells everytime, making it obvious shes trying to hide the ball acoustics of her serve. Serena is quieter, and it does it on and off, particularly when shes losing.
Anyone doing it for a malicious purpose is bad. You know this. why assume I dont?

What is becoming more pertinent is your desire to label me as a bigot when I'm not being one. Please desist from this, it makes you look bad.

the williams sisters do it when they are being challenged. sharapova does do it every time. seles was the first to do it, to my knowledge. all do it to try and gain an advantage through intimidation. as far as catching drug cheats, i put zero faith in any testing. the nfl would cease to exist if they wanted to actually catch anyone of note.
