Monzon may have struggled against the top SMW's. I think that his dimensions were part of the reason that he was so successful at 160. Take that away and things get quite a bit tougher. IMHO, of course.
I'd say that you are annoyed, since you followed me here from your epic "Eustank vs Bumlovkin" thread The stated purpose of which, was to annoy people.
Well if you're a mongoloid and incapable of detecting sarcasm then yes, that's what the thread was for.
Well of course you would say that. Actually, if that was my intended aim, I think I would be overjoyed.
I tend to agree but who are the best super middleweights who you'd expect him to beat (just curious)?
I honestly have not watched enough Monzon to give a fair assessment. He might give a spoiler without a punch, like Ward, all he could handle. I'd have liked to see him against somebody like Froch, to see whether his cool calculating mastery of the ring could work with somebody like him.
Only a few MW'S really ever hurt Monzon....Briscoe I, and Valdez 2. Maybe Canelo at Super Canelo-weight can turn the trick. LOL.
Monzon would be excellent at 168. He has the size and reach to compete there comfortably and is a great fighter.
