I take it back where I say I can't see Saddler beating Loma - I think he's more likely than the others to beat Loma but yeah, I rate Loma (and I find it impossible to compare these eras which are vastly different - it takes far too much imagination). I would've favoured Loma, though.

For me, I suspect the only guy who beats Loma in history is Roberto Duran...at 135.

And what puncher has Lomo ever faced that hit as hard as Arguello?

I'm sorry, I like Vasyl but mayweather would've tore him up.

He has a very significant reach advantage over Vasyl (8 inches) in this hypothetical matchup. Loma is a very gifted fighter, but so is a prime Mayweather. Floyd also had pretty good pop at SFW when he was devoid of hand injuries. He accrued a 27-0 record at 130 lbs with 20 knockouts. He also carried a granite chin at the division. He was a combination puncher with elite reflexes, defense and counterpunching ability. Lightning quick with his hands and feet.

Vasyl against Arguello would've been something to watch. I'd imagine Alexis would try to keep him at a distance and attempt to outbox him. I could see Loma having some success in some of these fights, but also losing a couple of them.

We're talking about a guy who lost to Orlando Salido.

I don't for a second believe Floyd has a 72 inch reach, and Walters actually has a 73' inch reach. Floyd's has always struck me as 70 inch. http://www.readingeagle.com/storyim...0509982.jpg&q=80&MaxW=550&MaxH=400&RCRadius=5

When they eradicated the 126lb division, Lomachenko had to make a few weird changes to his style in order to beat everyone at Lightweight in ams as he had the much, much smaller frame and all of the guys he fought by 2013 (1 year after Loma left) actually fight in Light Welterweight now (they had in many cases, similar or longer dimensions than Floyd).
I don't recall a single fight where a taller opponent has ever been able to utilise the jab for example.
Loma possesses all of the qualities people wanted Pacquiao to have in order to beat Floyd.
Surely you can't hold his Salido performance against him, that wasn't THE Loma in there, he looked more like Alexander Besputin in there than himself.

Loma is more accustomed to fighting the longer fighters than shorter ones:
Opponents from his Olympic 2012 reign:
    1. height 5′ 9″ / 175cm
    reach 71½″ / 182cm
    2. 5'9
    3. 5'10
(both boxers Toledo and Chul have long reaches)
    4. Height 5 ft 9 in (175 cm)
Reach 71 1⁄2 in (182 cm) - Verdejo having the same dimensions as Wellington Arias.

Who are you alt, and why are you hating on EE fighters often and concentrating less on boxing talk but more on people, alt?
Yeah Salido didn't whip his ass but he took advantage of primarily Loma's off pacing strategy, was a weird fight which has been explained to the death on this forum.

While he isn't nearly as accomplished as the above legends are, I think he wins 3 or 4 out of 5 here.

Sanchez and Arguello would be bad fights for Loma imo.
Loma does get hit. And a great puncher would surely mess with his rhythm and confidence.

Loma can box circles around them for 10 rounds and look fantastic doing it. But that won't stop them.
What happens in the 11th when Loma gets tagged, can he keep going?

It's also entirely possible that Loma becomes much more defensive against a great puncher, and relies more on his caution oriented elusiveness instead of the aggressive, riskier elusiveness. He may have that, and other aces up his sleeve. He's very experienced and I'm sure he's found himself in all kinds of situations.

Despite all his experience, we still have a lot to learn about him in the pro ranks. I'm sure as hell glad we have a talent like him in the game.

Yep and he showed he can get up from a great shot, shake it off and dominate a much bigger guy. The guy is already arguably the greatest fighter of the last 20 years IMO.

Who do you got in a match between Loma and Garcia?
