Froch had no reason to fight nobody Degales at the time.

He had just spent a year beating George Groves twice after Groves had been saying the same thing you and Degale were saying about "not wanting to fight a young up and comer" etc......Groves had beaten DG twice at that point......while Froch prior to fighting Groves was coming off the toughest back to back fight schedule for 5 years any british fighter has ever had ...so don't be ridiculous.

Everything DG has done since confirms Froch would have handled him easily and probably stopped him late.

It would start with DG looking like Michael nunn the first 3 rounds and winning all 3........like he does every fight...than like every fight he would disappear for 6 rounds and get battered and pasted by FRoch who had much slower hands and feet but faster reflexes and more power......and better overall skills. DG would wake up in round 10 but by that time he would be in with a guy with far superior stamina.....and going at Froch would play intro frochs hands who would win 2 of the last 3 and round out a points win 116-112

 

Froch turned Groves into a child again, and showed him who the daddy was.

I do not think Groves ever gets over those two losses.

DG would have been bossed in the same way at the time. DG is fortunate that he never faced Froch and has gone on and had a good career since then.

sorry but no way he even comes close to Cal . would need to beat groves in a rematch convincely first and if he could beat zurdo who I think is the best super middleweight right now then you could put him with fotch atleast.

I'll be interested to see how Jack gets on at 175 with Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson and Beterbiev all lurking at LHW. Perhaps they should put him in with Smith or Pascal to test the water. I would have suggested Fonfara but he needs to go and rebuild before engaging in another high profile fight. Clev would prob be up for a fight if the money's right.

 

TBH I can't see him being competitive with much of the top 10. Good point regarding Clev, if I was Hearn I would be straight on the phone trying to get the fight and it's one I'd slightly favour Cleverly.

Jack was fortunate that he is or was in a pretty weak 168lb division and stepping up is a big mistake as 175 is stacked.

As you noted Pascal would be my route if I was TMT regards to BJ dipping his toe into the 175 division.
