    Juan Diaz couldn't possibly have put forward a better than effort than Rios or Margarito. In fact, it's exactly how the fight would have gone, but with a Ricky Hattonesque ending. Diaz wouldn't have pressured Pac the way he pressed Marquez because it was up to Diaz to create the action in that fight.

    At that point in his career, you'd have to favor Manny by late stoppage. He was evolving at that point from a dynamite one handed fighter to a guy with good overall boxing skills.

    He only fought David Diaz at LW and moved right up to WW for the big money fights. It would've been great to see him attempt to become the lineal kingpin at 135 lbs. It would've guaranteed the fans another fight with Marquez at a division where JMM arguably looked his best.
