This is an interesting post that makes some strong points.
Consider there are not even 40 UK HWs and over 350 US HWs.
The British HW scene is very talented

Let's face it, America doesn't produce good heavyweights even a fraction of what it used to.

Don't try to dis Wilder to prop up Price. He was a ****en bum and Fraud was never good. Martin is a bum too. They could've moved Price at a snails pace and he still would've been exposed. Thompson could only beat guys like Price. Thompson has never beaten an elite fighter. Martin has never won a world title. He won a trinket that he never should've fought for.

Joshua is the only good hvw on the British scene and he hasn't been tested yet. Who else is elite? The other guys UK fans overrate.

Actually I agree with this. But whose fault is it a fighter is stepped up too soon? Is it Wilder fault if other fighters are rushed into fights they aren't ready for? Nope. Wilder was 32-0 before he even fought for the title. Truthfully he probably could have gotten a title shot at 20-0 but he knew he weren't ready for it so why take it? Likewise when he won the WBC title he probably could have fought Wlad in his very next fight but again he knew he weren't ready. In fact if Wilder go on to become the undisputed champion maybe he will become the new model. Take your time and build on your skillset instead of jumping into huge fights as soon as possible. Wilder want to fight Parker after Washington because he know he would win that fight. Parker has the WBO title but don't have the experience to beat Wilder. Again this is an example of rushing into a fight you aren't ready for. If nothing else give Wilder credit for not thinking he is better than what is and rushing into fights he isn't ready for.

    Wilder on Washington:

"Wilder: Gerald Washington 'Definitely Not' Ready for This Fight". Most likely Wilder is right. Washington is being rushed into a fight he isn't ready for. Maybe it would of been smarter for Washington to pass on this fight and continue to build up his skill set and fight for the title in a year or two? And maybe Wilder is smarter than people give him credit for.

Well, put it this way, for an example : Evander Holyfield was a lot better than Charles Martin.

Im not dissing Wilder or trying to prop Price. I am a bigger fan of Wilder than Price. I am pointing to how some fighters can get moved to fast whereas if they are moved slowly can learn more.
We dont know how Wilder would have done against Thompson if he fought him in his 16th fight but for whatever reason Wilder didnt have a fight like that and in his 16th fight was facing a 6-6-0 fighter who was a SMW in his first fight and had lost his previous 4 fights (3 by KO).
Maybe now you understand how sometimes a fighter can be moved too fast

David Price (15-0) was obviously put in too soon with Thompson. And the rematch was one of the worst management mistakes ever.
But in Thompson's next fight he lost to 17-0 Pulev, so it wasn't too soon for Pulev.

Yeah Team Fury has done their fair share of ducking and withdrawing from fights, still nowhere near as bad as Wilder though.
