Bermane Stiverne doesn't want to be part of the WBC eliminator fight with Luis Ortiz and claims "he got bigger fish to fry". He recently tried to get past the eliminator entirely by petitioning the WBC to be able to fight directly for the title without having to fight a replacement for Povetkin who recently tested positive before their sceduled bout. But the WBC replaced Povetkin with the simularly dangerous Cuban instead. Question is, will Ortiz get another foe now, or does he go another route as well, because he obviously got more options as Stiverne being ranked highly at the WBA and IBF as well.
Shame it was a pretty decent match up, clear duck from Stiverne though. Not sure what his next move would be. Maybe he's hoping AJ beats Wlad and AJ is still up for fighting him as he was in the mix prior to the Povetkin fight being mandated.
Stiverne is probably cautious about saying OK, getting 1 week from the fight and having another opponent fail the drug test. After losing time with Povetkin, I don't blame him.
He admitted drinking an off the shelf energy drink, but Povetkin lied and said, "Judge, I ain't done, no'thin".
Who cares about this overweight bum and who he doesn't want to fight. Just another overweight and overgrown yesteryear fake American heavweight.
