Has this fight been confirmed yet?

According to an article in todays paper, written by Barry McGuigan it has, and is to be held in Sheffield, but no date as of yet.

TBH especially after ggg fight al be amazed if brook can get back to 147. How fuk he does it the now is staggering Alway thought Khan fight would be at 150 catchweight. A think brook destroys Khan personally but can see why Khan wants it at 147 drained to max

i thought it was more or less confirmed for end of May?..

Hearn will want to put in on in Football stadium but i doubt 40k will turn up....Sheffield Arena would be better

The bellew fight at Everton was about 20k wasn't it? Just because it's in a football stadium doesn't mean they aim to sell every seat. Will sell out Sheff Arena. Get some fighters from Leeds and Hull on undercard can easily get 20k perhaps more. Sheffield has a strong boxing pedigree.

The more I watch of Spence, the more I think Brook is going to have to pull out the kind of performance he had against Porter.

Spence will be the stronger man at 147 as Brook has gotta turn himself into POW lookalike to get down to the weight.

It reminds me of the many movies where the hero of the movie is flying a fighter plane and he has a bandit on his tail. He purposely flies at a huge obstacle like a mountain or whatever before performing an evasive manoeuvre at the very last second so that the bandit behind crashes into the obstacle.

Khan has done just that...fight me at 147, fight me at 147, committing Brook to the weight before pulling out so that Brook hits the obstacle instead, which in this case is Spence Jn.

If he had moved up to 154 now, everyone would have accused him of dodging Spence. Smart move by Khan who is counting on Spence to do the job for him.

lol the amount of gymnastics to justify Khan's bull**** running away from Brook is sensational.

Great fight. Brook has it all to do to win this. Needs a career best performance to beat Spence.

I think you have to the same about spence. His never fought anyone to make him favourite in a fight vs brook.

If Brook hadn't have gone to 160 and also picked up the injury vs Golovkin I'd favour him over Spence. As of now I think it's 50/50 maybe even Spence a slight favourite.

One thing in Kell's favour, Spence's team admitted they had only watched the Golovkin fight of Brook. I think they are in for a little surprise to how much of a jump Brook is from their previous opponents where as obviously Kell has mixed it with good company.

I'd be much more comfortable with this fight if Brook had a tune-up at 147 but oh well.

Obviously depends on how brook does the weight but i d fancy him to win it. Tough fight. Although Spence looks like he can be frustrated. Another one thats been put in with opponents that make him look good. The guys hes been put in with either didnt have power to stop him in his tracks or didnt have the tools to get out the way of the shots he whips in. If he lands with the power shots he ll break anyone down but i think his biggest problem will be landing them. He was fine against algieri cause he didnt have to worry about what was coming back and bundu was too old/slow to get out the way of them. Brook hits harder than algieri and is also one of the hardest fighters to hit. Makes you fall short. The style to beat brook is actually porter or golovkins style. Even though he beat porter. The constant pressure with a high output will give him problems. Thats why jones gave him problems. Guys that try to box brook will struggle with him. Spence i dont think pushes him back...he looks more of a boxer/puncher to me. Likes to box then let the big shots go when the oppertunity presents itself. I think he ll struggle at the first stage the boxing part against kell. It ll stop him being nearly as effective as he has been against algeri or bundu. Spence is actually pretty basic...stiff...slow footwork. Having said that he is good tho. It ll be a tough fight but one i see brook winning.

Be a great fight as long as Kell makes weight and is not too drained (is a concern). I expect him to win if he makes weight and is not too drained. Think him v Spence is a better fight than Thurman v Garcia as i think they are both better fighters at WW.
