lolol....who confirmed that story? im still curious did ward say no? or did hbo say they needed time to build it up? you are aware ward was on the shelf, and it was known, at that time right? how are you supposed to fight when you are shelved?

we do have confirmation from loeffler that they turned ward away....that we know...both sides agreed on that one

Golovkin doesn't need Ward he has unification options,Ward had already cleaned out 168 and there was only a possible GGG fight keeping him there....but even he admitted that he couldn't make 168 no more so how is Golovkin to blame?

Ward was a ruler in a faded 168 division and now is a champion in an absolutely stacked 175, this is where he has the opportunity to build hus true legacy as a modern great, but I think the Kovalev fight brought him back down to reality.

 

So he can beat Ward?

But he admitted himself that he wanted 2 tune ups prior to a Golovkin fight and also that he was unable to make 168.....so the fight would never have happened,especially after he postponed his very next fight due to a knee injury.

He'd have had Golovkin hanging on forever.
