Let's face it. Even the great Tony Margarito - papa to Sergio Martinez and Miguel Cotto - could not come back from this injury. And people expect Kell Brook to? Forget it.

I feel sorry for Brook. Eddie Hearn needs to go to jail for letting him in the ring with GGG. After he saw GGG, Lou DiBella said he was not letting Sergio Martinez in the ring with "that animal." But Lou DiBella is a good promoter. Eddie Hearn is a disgrace. And Brook is finished, the poor bugger.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the gameplan was to take Kell out as soon as they realized he couldn't win, so IMHO fracture or no fracture they were taking him out then because he was just getting broken down and would get damaged sooner or later.
Turned out he already had a fracture.

I pretty much agree with this. My first inclination is toward thinking that Brook is still all there. If Spence manages a legit win, he should get full credit. That said, if Brook comes in looking like complete dog**** and gets dominated, I'll begin to wonder if he didn't leave something in the ring of the Golovkin fight. In this scenario it may take more than one opponent for both guys to get a good sense of things.

Yeah, well the other option of heading to 154 wasn't much easier, unless he fought a bum and then would be called a coward.

Might as well take the beating and get better money like he did against GGG. Spence is a much bigger money fight then a Jarrett Hurd and similar risk tbh.

When Khan and Brook finally fight I hope I don't see you saying Khan is scared, that would be very hypocritical of you.

Pac's injury was bogus when a guy can claim salt water cured a rotator cuff I'm done believing anything he says about the severity of the injury.

In regards to Brook's injury Atlas indicated the fight was fixed somehow because of the Vegas under for the fight changed so suddenly. I now believe he was onto something Brook probably injured the eye before the fight and his team were always gunna throw in the towel it's just a matter of when. I don't think his eye is severely damaged though I do think it could have been badly damaged had he continued getting caught on it for the rest of the fight.

With that being said, he chose to go on a suicide mission for a pay check so if he's ruined his chances which I think he has no one to blame but himself.

    His eye looks fine.
My major concern is whether or not he can make 147 safely anymore

A lot of fan boys will find a way to discredit Spence if he wins and praise GGG.

If Brook loses they will say GGG ruined him, Spence caught him at the right time.

I gave Brook a lot of flak as he clearly was trying to find alternative fights but if he pulls this off legitimately, wow what a fighter I will be giving him all the credit in the world. He will be the no.1 WW.

If Spence wins he is the real deal and I would pick him to beat the Garcia/Thurman winner.

Come on Bro! You know he will be considered damaged if he loses! There is contingent of ESB posters that are pulling for Brook now, but if he loses, they will do everything in their power to discredit Spences win. G ruined him, the cutting of weight, he had one too many crumpets the morning of the fight, you name it, they will use it to keep words of praise for Spence out of their dirty little mouths!

Out of all the posts here you quote this one and ignore the ones denying the orbital injury, yet you claim to be a fair and unbiased fan who just calls people out on their BS. Lol....

Who damaged Brooks orbital socket? Did I not mention G as and excuse? Or did some other fighter break Brooks orbital bone? Pay attention son, pay attention! LOL And I said I try to be fair and unbiased! Doesn't always turn out that way!

My point is there were some pretty stupid posts made in this thread(including some made by the guy you quoted) yet you chose to ignore them. Thought you were just a guy who called out BS and didn't have an agenda of some kind?

I don't have an agenda, but I have been coming to this site for some time now and I can guarantee that if Spence wins, there are people that, no matter what, will never give him credit. That was the jest of my post! Not really calling anyone out per say. Just responding to the OP.

I think if you read my posts, you'll see that I try to be objective and unbiased. I really don't get into running fighters into the ground and accuse then of wrong doing without something that supports my accusation. I'll never call a fighter a bum or a coward, because boxing is a tough sport and for anyone to achieve success on any level in the sport shows a level of discipline and sacrifice. But thanks for trying to keep me honest! Checks and balances, checks and balances my friend!
