Realistically, he hasn't got a lot of BIG paydays. That's my point.

    Charlo: At what weight?

Cotto: Do fans really want a rematch? It wouldn't sell as much as the first fight.

Chavez rematch: Yes, but only IF it warranted one.

Eubank: A big fight in the U.K. but not so much in the U.S.

Lemieux: That wouldn't be a big fight, and GG has already beaten him.

BJS: Like Eubank, a big fight in the U.K. but not so much in the U.S. The U.S. and Mexican fans don't really know of them. They wouldn't do huge numbers, and I doubt that Canelo would ever go to the U.K. Canelo would only get decent guarantees for those types of fights, plus whatever the revenue was, which in my opinion, wouldn't be great. So whilst they would be intriguing fights, they wouldn't be big money fights for him.

Andy Lee: It wouldn't be a big fight that earnt him big money.

Brook: Maybe a possibility in the future, but Brook is now back at WW, and I doubt that he'd ever fight at MW again, or that Canelo would drop back to JMW.

To summarise: Yes, Canelo has options. Oscar would always find him someone to fight. Yes, he'll always sell PPV's. Yes, he'll always have good paydays. But he hasn't got many options that make him lots of money. The only really big payday from the fights above, would be a rematch against Chavez, again: depending on the outcome of their first fight.

GG's realistic options are considerably better. There's 4 fights in the U.K. which would all guarantee him a purse of £5 plus, not accounting for any add-ons.

We just not going to agree but as far as Charlo is concerned he said he's going to 160 so what's the issue?! Also you can't say they will both make more money than with anyone else you don't know that. Giving GGG a huge slice means Canelo isn't getting as big of a piece, so it may not be worth the money at that point. Also you told me to show you his option those are just some names off the top of my head. We won't agree but I don't think Canelo needs GGG. GGG needs him otherwise he wouldn't be chasing him. Last I check GGG said " i don't care about Canelo I just want my belt" well he has it yet he's still chasing him so are you sure he doesn't need him? Simple fact is if GGG had fought Ward or challenged himself at all in general he wouldn't be in the position of Canelo being the A side. Also it's been said before Canelo has taken a flat fee more than once when he was the B side

My question is; How is it a guy who can only sell "150K" PPVs on his own worth more than $15 mil dollars? How does that work?

He has no appeal in America, The UK or Mexico simply because he can't speak much English or Spanish.
If he starts speaking Russian then TV watchers start changing the channel.
Even the little English he knows when he speaks his personality comes off as boring and droll.
I mean, Brook doesn't speak English well either, but at least his personality comes through.

Nobody knows little g, and the fact that in 8 years he hasn't fought anyone doesn't help. Other than Russia, Golovkin has zero cross-over appeal. Zero. None. Zilch.
I think he needs a gimmick. Not the lame Triple G gimmick, I mean a real gimmick, like handing fans out free copies of MAD magazine or something.

You Bumlovkinite nut huggers make yourselves look like idiots every time you cite the Brook Bumlovkin PPV as some type of moral victory for the Triple Duck. Unfortunately it WASN'T. The Brook Bumlovkin PPV sold for something like $15-$20 per buy. How many PPVs would Canelo's last fight have sold if it were priced similarly?

You idiots really ought to take this opportunity to STFU...

Don't label grown men as Bumlovkintes whilst calling people idiots. Think about it.

The PPV prices have been pretty much set in both countries for a long time. You know that. Both fees in each country are pretty much the going rate.

Brit's are used to paying around £17.99, and believe me: A lot of people are very unhappy at paying that amount.

The Brook-GG fight was a huge success, bringing in more views than the majority of AJ's fights, who is now the King of the casuals.

You can't spin your way out of the fact that GG is now big news in the U.K.

    Hey genius:

    1. I said Canelo's options are limited if he doesn't fight GG in September. I was looking AHEAD of the Chavez fight in May. Also: A big money rematch would only happen if it was warranted.

    2. Canelo didn't get HUGE money for the Cotto fight, and is there genuinely much interest in a rematch?

    3. Take those out of the equation, and what BIG money fights are there left for him?

    If the shoe fits...

    £17.99 x 500K buys = £8,995,000 = $11,237,100

Alvarez' last fight did 300K PPV buys

    $60 x 300K buys = $18,000,000

How many more PPVs would Alvarez' last fight have sold if it were priced similarly to the Brook Bumlovkin PPV?

    $18 mil > $11.2 mil

    Whatever you say, Genius.

    Lol...

Boxing fans that post deliriously about fights not being made = complete wankers that should take up knitting.

Who is A side & who is B side ??????
    Who sold more PPV's ?????
Who had the biggest fan base ?????
None of this BS matters when that bell rings for round one of GGG - Canelo
Gennady Golovkin would beat that red headed cherub like a red headed step child finally knocking him threw ropes & onto Oscars lap. Oscar with tears rolling down his face cries " Its Over Its Over"
THIS!!!!!!!!!! is what will happen IF Canelo ever plucks up courage & everyone knows it

What determines who is A-Side is the ONE of the two who has actually been in the ring with and beaten verified A-Siders, and that ain't Golovkin.

If all these US and UK "Ass-siders" you speak of had your confidence and you would have nothing to post about.
