I think even if Spence wins we`ll see a fighter that has flaws and doesnt look like a world beater like he has against the cans hes fought so far.

 

Yeah I don't see why people have an issue with Spence... He's a talented guy who's moved up the ranks with dignity and upon reaching world level has gone out of his way to pursue big fights. Should he beat Brook(I think he will) he should receive full credit, although I don't think it will be nearly as easy as some of his fans would like to think.

 

if his orbital bone gets broke again you would have to wonder. if not, it is a fair loss. no one made him go up two divisions, then try to come back down. btw, the only way that is possible, is roids. or just getting fatter, which brook definitely didn't do. jones jr put on forty pounds of muscle to fight ruiz, then lost it all for his next fight. only roids can do that.

Brook was forced in to this fight kicking and screaming so even when he gets bashed he gets no credit from me.
If he does the unthinkable and beats Spence then he gets all the credit in the world.

Zero credit for going toe to toe and coming out 2nd best because that is what was expected.

 

He gets more credit than CEJ who talked the talk but lost his pen.

The Sam Egginton level of opponent is actually better than what CEJ is used to fighting.

 

Regarding Brook v Spence my only concern is how Brook makes the weight.

Yes we know he's struggled in the past to make the weight and whilst he went to 160 he actually put quality mass on and was a solid 160 the night he fought Golovkin, he never had man tits like Khan did when he fought Canelo.

I personally agree with Shock that the injury didn't look that bad - not career derailing bad, anyway. But it's all internal so only Brook's doc knows the extent of it. Obviously they must have checked it out nd given him the go-ahead for the fight, so it's probably OK. The beating Brook took didn't go on too long and he didn't look to be in the sort of "Davey Moore" condition that ends careers. I'd say he's OK.

More importantly, I wonder how his body takes blowing up to 160 and then back down to 147. I think that may be much more critical than the damage from the GGG fight.

Please. You claimed before the Paulie fight was made brook would fight eggington. You can't now try and say it didn't happen because of Paulie.

I thought he would vacate to be honest but he's made a career from mandatory fights and was willing to fight Khan at 147 (which also means weight can't be used as an excuse), so he isn't going to get LOTS of credit from me, but some credit all the same.

At first I was leaning toward Spence for this but I'm thinking Brook might take this on points.

On another note - I see Spence on Twitter said he would do VADA testing if the WBC ranked him. So they did. And he still hasn't signed up - so make of that what you will.
