According to Spence, Brook is getting too much credit for taking this fight, when the truth is he tried to make other fights and that fell apart which meant this was the only fight left.

Imo he is completely right, I'm not giving any world champion credit for fighting their mandatory, it's the one thing a champion has to do. Brook was the mandatory killer a year ago and now he should get credit for taking on Spence just coz he is a dangerous mandatory, hell no.

I'll give the winner all the credit but no one will be getting credit just for taking a title fight. Anyway great fight may the best man win.

I agree fighting the mandatory should be a given however prior to this announcements Brook was getting slated and being accused of ducking his mandatory when there was no evidence of this.

Spence fans (this website especially) have tried for months to claim Brook avoided Spence when the mandatory was never even called by the IBF. They would also claim when they did call it Brook would vacate his belt.

Those same people cant now claim Brook shouldn't get any credit for facing his mandatory when for months they claimed Brook was avoiding his mandatory and wouldn't fight Spence.

Id like to give Brook credit for stepping in right back in there with another top fighter, but i can´t, since i think its a bad career move.
Brook should have requested a tune up from the IBF. Let Spence fight for the interim title meanwhile.
Brook has had plenty of weight issues and now he is moving back down. And then there is the eye factor.
8 month layoff and first fight at at 147 in 14 months - i would have taker precautions.

    I agree with this guy.

It's BS it took so long to make this fight, no credit for anyone...Wait scratch that, credit to ME and all my fellow fans for waiting patiently and enduring through all the BS waiting for this fight to be made! Policies in my towns public school is also BS! Not too mention........

Oops, almost lost control and went full ********* my bad... I agree.

To be fair if Khan had agreed to the split you wouldn't be saying this right now. Hearn even said only Khan can stop this fight from happening and a week ago Brook said he can't get up for a Spence fight so it's pretty clear they weren't racing to get this mandatory out the way.

With being said I'm happy the fight is here, and we get two see two of the best get in there. I'm rooting for Brook as a Brit but I'm picking Spence to beat him.

He wouldn't of been the first fighter to miss a mandatory for a more lucrative fight.

He did it to himself by taking that GGG fight. I wouldn't have minded if Brook had done this straight away because it would mean both fighters would be better prepared, but I'm not he's manager or promoter so I'm just happy there fighting for sure.

In all honesty I'm rooting for Spence as a Ameri-Can, but I'm picking the Limey to beat him.

What lucrative fight could he make? They tried that. Khan said no, Cotto said no, Pacquaio said no. Canelo & Thurman/Garcia are tied up, there's nowhere left to go now.

I'm leaning towards KO, but if he has no lingering effects or signs of being shot he can legit win on points as well. Spence to me is still to untested for Brook, and I question his chin, Brook ain't no featherfist Algeri.

The Khan fight. The only fight which would of derailed the Spence fight was Khan hence why I said he wouldn't of been the first to take the more lucrative option.
