no, he is not smaller in the ring, being heavier does not make you bigger than a guy who is bigger naturally it only makes you a guy with overweight . you can't change the size of your bones.... you only can add mass

So what if Fighter A and B have the same amount of body fat, say Fighter B has more muscle though.....

Being overweight still contributes to ones size, I mean I've just seen a 500kg woman on the news. We don't call that woman a natural 50kg woman, we label her a fat fcuker.....

But young wasnt fat, he was just a small heavyweight. Norton was in phenomenal shape both in physique and cardio. At 6'3 and am 80' reach he probably could have easily added 10 more lbs of bulk and fought at the 220+ range.

More than likely he came in at the 215 range because he was a work out freak like marciano and holyfield. He lived in abject poverty eating 1 hot dog a day sharing it with his son. Probably stunted his growth.

Oh for crying out loud. Norton and Young were about the same size in their fight.

Norton just has a mesomorphic body type while Young is ectomorphic. It has nothing to do with physical size, Norton simply has the genetics that give him a more ripped muscular look.

But muscle weighs heavier than fat, so if Norton was carrying much more muscle and was barely heavier then you have to say Young was the naturally bigger man.

Young wasn't fat. He was lean muscle, he's just an ectomorph body type with a long torso. It's possible to have the same weight and body fat and completely different builds. That's why body types are categorized in such a way.

    Young is the prototypical ectomorph.

    Norton is a protypical mesomorph.

Neither guy is fat, they are both all muscle. Just different genetics and filled out differently.

I don't know about you but I see plenty of fat there, he definitely could lose some pounds on those pictures.

I don't see any fat. He's not sculpted like a Greek God, but he's certainly not carrying any fat.

I am a combination of both mesomorth and endomorth although for a big lad I have very small hands and average to small wrists. Everywhere else I'm big boned, I'm a strange one alright and I punch way too hard for my hands. My knuckles have been shattered that many times and I can't straighten either of my little fingers as the tendons are fcuked.

I definitely see a little baggage on the top picture, of course he looks like a bodybuilder compared to most HW'S these days...

Compared to Norton..who just has a freakish build with the giant shoulders and shortened chest.

Norton reminds me of Harold Johnson. Harold Johnson at 175 could probably mistaken for being bigger than most 230 pound heavyweights.

Or Oscar Bonavena who looked like the Hulk at only about 200ish.

Wasn't Norton 205lb when he fought Ali? I'm 240lb at the minute and about 186cm tall, admittedly I could lose a few pounds and I'm in a similar condition to an older Ali. I was in great condition last year weighing around 225-230lb.
