If Bumlovkin Jacobs happens then it's a good thing for boxing as two of the top three middles get to decide who is better. I'm happy to be wrong if this fight happens. That said, I wont be satisfied that this fight is happening until both fighters are in the ring...

And do you really claim that the OP was just a joke? You honestly expected GGG to vacate, didn't you?

I'm far from a "Bumlovkinite", go through my post history if you don't believe me. And just being very honest, using terms like "Bumlovkin" only weakens your point.

I like GGG but I'm not one of the ones who thinks that: the Brook win = beating SRL, GGG could beat the top HWs, GGG KOs any MW in history. But I do think he deserves credit for taking on Jacobs, it was the best guy he could get for March as well as being his mandatory. I see you said Jacobs has a decent chance against GGG. Will you give GGG any credit at all should he win?

And, while we're talking, the other thing that annoys me about the GGG-bashers: it's always about his poor resume (which is true), but no matter how you look at it plenty of people have ducked or avoided GGG. Sturm, Martinez (although he had a decent reason, GGG did want that fight), Eubank Jr, BJS, Cotto etc. Pirog had to pull out with injury. Plus GGG had a terrible promotional team for the first 5 years of his career.

So it's a little unfair to bash him for a poor resume, if he had all those names he'd have a fine resume. It's far from entirely his fault that his resume is so poor. And yes, GGG could've got Ward if he was willing to forgo Canelo-money for legacy's sake, but that's about it.

If you can give me an objective reply to the above, I will apologize to you for my earlier post to Shockmaster as I will have been proven wrong.
