29th of April in Long Island Pascal isnt the only option As per Joe Degurdia Owner of Star Boxing also said that they're disappointed that talks with Adonis Stevenson have gone cold, said that venue or financial terms we're non-issues, as Smith wanted a title shot and he was willing to travel
How funny would that be? Pascal taking on the better of the two Irish-American light heavies, Chickenson ducks yet another big fight. What a joke this guy is. Given his past, attitude and reluctance to take on big fights it's hard to understand how he actually has a fanbase.
Pascal is probably done at the elite level, but he's a G. Willing to take tough fights and travel to opponent's backyard. And has a big mouth and knows how to sell his fights. Adonis is non of the above.
This sounds like a good match up if the Stevenson fight can't be made. I'd favor Smith at this point since Pascal has been in so many wars, especially the Kov beat downs. A fresher Pascal could have made for a hell of a fight though. Still a good name for Smith's resume should he win and continue his hot streak. A nice little upset for Pascal should he pull off the win.
It's hard to imagine any boxer over age 30 coming back to top form after receiving two savage beatdowns from a very hard puncher.
Pascal is a shitty option. Nobody wants to see this fight. I'm sure HBO would love a Joe Smith Chad Dawson fight as well after this.
Dawson is as washed up as Pascal is and he's fighting Fonfara on the 4th of March Chad Dawson is in Montreal right now training alongside Eleider Alvarez. They help eachother for their respective bouts.
Pascal fights everyone. Dawson, Hopkins x2, Froch, Kovalev x2, Gonzalez, Bute, Diaconu and now possibly Smith jr
pascal vs joe smith is fight that we cant complain about that. but wat ever happened to joe smith vs sean monghan. are they waiting for that fight after they both lose cuz its always there?
Nobody wants to see that fight but if Chad wins his next fight, don't be surprised to see Smith/Dawson on HBO after the Pascal fight, which is the point I was getting to.
