Jacobs is FAR too dangerous an opponent to risk a $15 mil dollar payday. I sincerely believe that IF the Alvarez fight is signed prior to the Jacobs fight then the Triple Duck will pull out with an "injury". IMO, the only reason why they took the Jacobs fight was to keep their hands on the WBA's trinket. Jacobs is ALL wrong for the Triple Duck. Even if Bumlovkin wins, which he wont, he'll look bad in the process and take a beating. Plus, this fight is gonna disappoint where the PPV sales are concerned...

The difference here is Ward had faced stiff opposition prior to fighting Kovalev. What stiff opposition has Bumlovkin ever been in the ring with? His resume reminds me of the canned vegetable section at a grocery store - lined with TOMATO CANs..

Like I said, Team Triple Duck only took this fight because they had no alternative and I'll only believe this fight is happening when the bell for round 1 rings...

If I were K2, I wouldn't want Bumlovkin in the same time zone as Andre Ward.

You could make that case for Bumlovkin's bummy resume back when he was lumbering around in obscurity. However, he's been HBO's non-PPV main attraction for several years now. Sorry, but there is just no excuse for his resume to be as weak as it is when you've been backed by HBO to the extent that he has for as long as he has. I vividly remember all the flack RJJ used to catch when he was HBO's non-PPV main attraction while in the middle of his extended Bum of the Month tour. There's just no excuse...

You have more faith in K2 than I do. IMO, they'e been mismanaging Bumlovkin for so long that they don't know how to do anything else. If I were K2 then I would have taken the 15 mil and pulled Bumlovkin out of the Jacobs fight. WAAAAYYYY too much risk there for a guy who is about to turn 35 who's looking at a $15 mil dollar payday.

I have no problem with using the 150K PPV number. Either way, the Bumlovkin Lemiuex PPV was a dud...

I have no problem with Bumlovkin as a fighter. In all honesty, I'm a fan. He's never in a boring fight and his fights always end in a knockout after an action packed affair. What's not to like? Lol. Having said that, take a second look at my screen name. It's my job to point out the obvious BS and say NO. The ducking, excuses and lofty status afforded this fraud goes beyond reason. Somebody needs to stand up and say something in order to bring the Force back into balance.

Lets keep it 100, where nut huggery in the General forum is concerned, Bumlovkin is on a planet all alone. Nobody's family jewels get polished around here as meticulously and with the same frequency as are his. Maybe Kovalev is second but it's a _D I S T A N T_ second. Lol.. When other guys get their nutsacks polished in the same underseving fashion and with the same frequency as Bumlovkin, I'll be the first to stand up and say something in order to bring the Force back into balance. LOL - I had forgotten about Mayweather McGregor. I hear they've agreed to terms so looks like Canleo Bumlovkin for Sept 2017 is a bust. That means this fight wont happen until Cinco de Mayo 2018 at the earliest - when Bumlovkin is 36 years old. They should have taken the $15 mil dollars when it was first put on the table...

If he fights Jacobs then he will have earned my respect. That said, the Jacobs fight doesn't absolve him of the Andre Ward duck. He's still guilty as charged on that count. Lol..
