They could of sorted this out a hell of a lot quicker. If Tyson has failed a test, 6 months should be more than enough for him to compile a defence.

I also can't think of a reason why a court would gag them considering everybody already knows he failed a test and that a hearing had to take place.

They look an absolute embarrassment at the moment.

Tysons' 'mental vulnerability' and the 'suicidal thoughts' that may develop further if his drug ban shame was to hit the red tops. A very good reason, his brief would argue, for an injunction.

A very weak argument IMO considering both his failed test for a performance enhancer and his recreational drug use have both already been reported on.

It may well be a weak argument to most....

However injunctions have been granted for much less....think Ryan Giggs/David Furnish/Alan Shearer etc.. Those injunctions were granted, just for playing away from home.

And all were quickly made irrelevant by the internet and leaks anyway.

I'd also say the family life of those people is of less public interest than cheating in sport not to mention that this story has already broken.

The argument would be Furys health is more important than the public interest. The argument could just go on in circles ad infinitum.

It is already out there though. It has been reported in somewhat consistently albeit in a patchy manner.

To be honest, I don't really care.
The story has a "soap opera appeal" at best.
UKAD hardly ever catch and ban anyone anyway, so perhaps silence should be their best policy always. I'm not a big supporter of testing for PEDs, nor care which athletes take them.
Tyson Fury isn't trying to get in a ring anyway, so whether he's banned or not is somewhat irrelevant.
The Hughie situation is more interesting. He's set to fight in April so we'll see if he does.

Let's scrap them then. If they can't do their job then let's get rid of them and save the money or replace them with something better.

As for Team Fury, if they have been blocking this all the way it's just another example of their hypocrisy considering all the unprompted things they've said about drugs cheats in the past.

It seems to me that Tyson Fury started talking about drug cheats with the fact that this was hanging over him in mind.
I might be wrong, but I don't remember him talking about drugs until a few weeks/months before the Wladimir fight where he implied (perhaps correctly, imo) that Wladmir was allowed to take his PEDs with impunity whenever he fought in Germany. (I think a 2015 youtube interview with Michelle Phelps whatever he name is.)

Straight after the fight he mentioned how he was wary of being spiked with an incriminating substance by Wlad's people to sabotage his sample and invalidate his win (something lawslaw would have willingly volunteered for, given the chance, no doubt !).

Early in 2016 he made comments and outright slurs against AJ (probably correct again, imo) and also made comments that "everyone is on PEDs" because even if you don't take them "meat is pumped full of steroids", so when you eat meat .... etc.

This was all before the thing blew up in the summer. It seems obvious he was trying to raise the issue of PEDs knowing he had it hanging over him, partly in an attempt to deflect and soften the shock when it comes out, to reduce his own perceived guilt by implicating others, and perhaps partly some sort of subconscious wish to confess.

    That's my take.

As for hypocrisy, that's the biggest problem with this "anti-doping" movement, in my opinion. Athletes are pressured into being hypocrites by the hypocrisy of the fans and media who are absolutely addicted to the enhanced-standards of athletic performance. People aren't really anti-doping, they are anti-being-seen-to-be-doping.
