When Floyd retired it became Canelo's Era.

Its going to be the "more than fair" 15 million dollar offer. Final offer. Take it or leave it.

    Don't be lame brained.
    Who said it?
Me, The networks, the commentators, the Professional boxers, the trainers, the Promoters, and even IBM Watson. That's everybody who is anybody, the most important being, ME.

So Mexico has sole ability to grant 'era' status on a fighter? :risas3:

Its not Canelos era. It's probably still up for grabs. Canelo has neither become a ppv star worldwide, achieved p4p status or cleaned out his era. Not even close...

His last fight lost his promoter money! Truth is Canelo probably won't ever have a definable era like FMJ did when hes reviewed in retrospect. Mexicans buying his Khan & Chavez crap does not make him the stand out fighter IMO If you think it does then that suggests to me the sport is in serious trouble especially if your evaluation & reasoning of the merit of a fighter is wide shared? Mexicans buying Canelo v Khan & Chavez means this is Canelos era!! LMAO

I think he's just been a bit of a cash cow who's milks already beginning to sour. His claim to fame is losing to Floyd & warring it with a weather beaten Cotto. Sorry but there isn't a standout from the grouping as of yet!

The stand out fighter becomes the standout fighter by beating his contemporaries.

Canelo would have to beat the likes of Golovkin, Thurman, Garcia, Charlos, Andrade ..

    This he has not done.

Mexican PPV & beating Cotto does not give him automatic right to be crowned fighter of his era. This IMO is done towards the a latter part of a career anyway when we can evaluate more fully. Eras you define, you are not given! He hasn't defined **** yet! Maybe he will.. I doubt it though!

    You dense ****ing primates :risas3:

You act like Canelo is fighting the cream of the crop. He fights in an imaginary weight class that he himself created. But I still think that just based on the fact of their popularity, Canelo should get paid more.

Its Canelo's era. All roads lead to him. He is the biggest PPV star at the moment. He is the highest paid boxer atm, he has one of the best fight records, he is in his prime.

You can have losses and still be the boss of an era. Look at ODLH.

canelo can say take it or leave it all he wants but if he wants a shot at the middleweight belts he better get a deal done or work his way to mandatory and get a 75-25 split in favor of ggg
